He wants to become a Bapstist minister

My nephew might! He is currently in the Navy and stationed in Japan. For a while Dan wanted to be career Navy man. Now he is thinking when he is done with his enlistment,he'd like to go back to school with the help from the Navy. He is talking about being a minister or a teacher in the Baptist faith. Like most people in my family we grew up Lutheran. Dan became a Baptist last year after visiting a Bapist church while in boot camp. This Bapstist church is very strict,like no touching your girlfriend or boyfriend unless you get married! It makes Dan happy but this so not like him! This is what puzzles me the most about this!

Wow. I think he has found his calling. I think even though you may not totally understand , give him your support. Religion is a very personal thing and if he is now " Saved" and wants to preach , it is wonderful. this is coming from a Jew, lol. No way could I ever be a Baptist But, that is why I would celebrate it.My guess is he will be happy in this faith. Question, does he have the support of his parents?

I think Dan has found his calling. He is happy with his faith. It just surprises me because Dan never has been a serious person,until now! It is obvious he is grwoing up and he is happy! Yes,his parents support him and so do his brother nad sister! I will too!

Hi there my friend. I think there was a change of heart in him. I mean, not because his personality perhaps was not like that before, but things may change. Perhaps, he has a calling which he only just realized lately. Nothing is impossible when it comes to the Lord Almighty.

It is possible Dan has had a change of heart! I know it happens alot to other people. It just surprises me because Dan has not been a serious person before! Dan is now an adult and he really has done some growing up! Still getting used to it,I guess!
