it was in october 2005 that i first visited boracay, the second visit was with my husband last july 2009. my third time to travel to bora was with my officemates last april 2010. These are the things that i love to do at bora: eat dinner at Gasthof restaurant.... they have the best tasting baby back ribs in town; go island hopping; riding at banana boat; get a full body massage; wait for the sunset; and shop at D'Mall.

Hi bhonti. It seems that you will try to do those activities again this coming september. I haven't tried helmet diving and flyfish... I am scared. Have you checked the sand in station 1 and station 3? If you can notice, the sand in station 1 is finer than those in station 3. I wonder why? :)

Yeah! The fly fish is extreme! I must brag that I didn't let my hands off the handle. The operator failed in bringing me down the floater! But my hands really hurt after that one. Yes, I think the sand is finer in station 1. I guess because station 3 is loaded with people already. I don't know.

Helmet diving and flyfish actually are on the top of my list in the activities that I enjoyed the most in bora. In Helmet diving, I get to walk on the sea bed 20ft below sea level and I get to feed the fishes there. Although it was hard at first to go underwater because of the extreme pressure I felt in my ears. While in flyfish, it was so extreme because we were being dragged by a super fast speed boat while riding on an inflatable raft. It was physically challenging because you have to really hold on the safety strap so you wont fall on the water. My arms hurt after trying it but it was definitly fun!

My first experience at Bora was in 2008 and it wasn't at all nice. Well my husband availed of the piso-fare from Cebu Pacific and he scheduled it in June which is already the rainy season. It was my first time to fly an airplane, and since it was a propeller it can easily be swayed by the winds. It was pretty scary and to think we brought our 2 year old son along. It was his first trip too. So we arrived and it was so windy. The sands hit our legs terribly. I hardly enjoyed our time there. I didn't see the beauty that Bora was renowned for. Heck! I didn't even get to swim. I think it was the best time for wakeboarding and wind surfing. I had seen a lot of those activities at that time. Anyways, we'll come back to Bora early next year for our annual family trip. And I pretty sure I'll experience the sun and the beach in Bora..finally!

I think the plane that has two big propeller is called ATR. Everytime I travel through plane, I see to it that it is a big plane because I have also a bad experience with ATR. There are lots of turbulence and I'm afraid of it. Hopefully you'll enjoy your trip to Bora next year. There are many things to enjoy. However there are also things that I were not able to experience because of the limited budget I have. :)

I also experienced severe turbulence in going to Boracay. It was via Zest Air and it was in May, still summer but it was rainy that day. We travelled at 11pm so it was dark outside and we have no idea what is going on out there. Thank God we reached the place safely and we still had a great time in the beach. We enjoyed Boracay so much that I already made plans on going there this september, 4 months after my previous visit. This plan, I booked in different airline. Air philippines. :)

Wow, twice in a year. Who can refuse the beauty of Boracay? Boracay has charmed tourists with it's white, sandy beaches, crystal blue waters, fiery sunsets, and tropical climate. It is a place to chill, relax, and have a good time. :) Goodluck to your next trip. You must enjoy your stay there to the fullest. :)

the most memorable moment i can remember of Boracay was when I and my wife ride the ferris wheel at the center of D'Mall. I know it didn't involve the infamous white beach that the place is well-known for, but for me, it was our most intimate time together.

Yeah! Good times! I specially love the activities in Boracay. I have tried a lot of their water sports and activities there. I haven't tried the banana boat but I opted for the flying fish adventure instead. More challenging than the banana boat. I really love the jetski! Very cool! Other things like parasailing, snorkelling, helmet diving and island hopping are also fun. Manny Pacquiao's resort was huge! I never got to try that baby back ribs that you are saying. Maybe if I get back there I will. It really is a relaxing place. Fine, white sand with the night life and all the babes in bikinis! I love them!

Wow! Is this true? What is the reason behind that? Can you please share it to me or provide me a link regarding that issue. I think Pacquiao invested a lot of money for that resort then it will be closed? I'm interested with the story. Thanks for sharing the information.

Yes it's true, Its also in the news, both in paper and television. It has not been confirmed if Manny really owns the place. Some news tell that his friend owns it and his just a business partner. As i recall, i think the reason why the resort was shut down was because of the lack of environmental permit of the hotel. Go check it in yahoo news, I think its in there somewhere.

Have you heard that Manny Pacquiao's resort was ordered to be closed by the local government there?
