It's probably because I'm American, but actually, I find this place disturbing to see. All the buildings are as alike as cookies! I prefer more individual dwelling (even though I happen to be in a complex, right now). Where is the individuality? The self-expression? I could never enjoy life there, even though I expect it's very orderly & safe. I just need variety. Thanks for this glimpse of Socialism at work... Very revealing. Whew! Well, that's a relief! I am so against enforced conformity! Maggiepie "Yon Kenyan hath a lean & hungry look. He thinks too much. Such men are dangerous." ~ Paraphrase of line from "Julius Caesar" ~ source unknown

A village? Looks like a town to me. I was surprised to see such uniformity of the buildings and layout all the best urban

Yes, in the past I read an article about Huaxi Village via the net. I must say that this is a real miracle because the people live quite well there. They have good education and income. I don't kown when our whole country can act like Huaxi Village. It is an ideal place to live. At that time I don't think there are any people want to immigrate broad. West or east, home is the best. If it is not necessary or making a living, nobody wants to leave home. I love China

Hello zhouxi. I heard about it long ago, but have never had a chance to pay a visit to it. Yes, I know that it is a very rich village, one that is considered to be the richest in China. You are lucky to have been there and I thank you so much for sharing with us the beautiful photo you took. I wish that I would be able to visit it some day. Take care, friend.

I enjoyed seeing your photo of Huaxi Village. All then homeslook the same as each other it would seem. The landspace around that village looks ever so picturesque. It is interesting to hear that it was the first villagen in China. I would like to go to China one day in the future.
