Ok, I don't really WANT your iPhone, I just want users who have one or have used one to try and SELL me on it. What is so great about Apple tech and the iPhone's operating system? I have never owned an iPhone, a Mac, an iPod, an iPad, I guess I'm iNot into having an 'app for everything'. Kidding. Yes I know the phone itself is really nice. The camera on it is AMAZING but the music probably sucks because you have to use iTunes. I'm not into iTunes, it froze my computer once. Now I know there are virtually thousands of iPhone users out there. Please, if a few of you could stop by here I'd really appreciate it. Even if you just know someone with one, give me your thoughts. I have multiple friends with this evil phone and all I can say is that I'm glad I'm not them. My phone is a Motorola with droid os and I have a touch screen AND a slide out keyboard. Perhaps IF iPhone made a phone with a hard keyboard and access to the droid app market, I might consider them slightly less outdated.

Apple has always positioned itself as the Mercedes of tech gadgets. Mercedes are good high quality cars, but honestly there is absolutely no 'practical' reason for anyone to ever own one. There is no feature of a Mercedes that can't be found in much cheaper decent quality cars. Similarly, if you are looking for some purely practical reason to buy an Iphone, I wager there really isn't one. The list of features found in an Iphone, but lacking in a Droid phone is very few. I can only think of two off the top of my head, and both are minor (depending on what you consider important). Apple is a company that was built on the concept of easy to use. Making the gadget as user friendly as possible. I can say that I have never yet purchased an Apple product and been disappointed with it. At the same time, I have no intentions of buying an Iphone. I personally hate phones, and I have no use for a 'smart phone'. So spending as little as possible on a phone is my plan. Thus I won't be getting a droid or Iphone anytime soon, or later for that matter. There tend to be two types of Iphone owners. Type A, and sadly the more common, are the "I want the Mercedes" crowd. These are the people who want the latest Apple gadget to have the 'status' of having the latest greatest blaw blaw blaw. I could not possibly care less about status. What people think of me, or whatever dumb phone I have, is of no concern to me. Then there are the people who appreciate high quality programming and the level of easy-of-use that are typical of Apple products. That would be me. I generally like Apple products over competitors. If 'smart phones' were of any value to me, I would likely go for an Iphone. But if neither of those are of importance, then stick with a lower cost droid. The differences are not very large, and undoubtedly a droid will save you money, while supplying every need you have.

I can't sell you on the iPhone or a Droid either because I have decided that I don't have a need for a smartphone. All that I ever do with my cell phone is to make phone calls and to send text messages occasionally. My phone does have the ability to access the network to use the internet, but it is painful to use and it costs a lot of money to use it. If you aren't one of those people that needs to be plugged in all the time, then I really don't think that there is a need for you to invest in a smartphone.

I recently bought a new phone I didnt even consider an iPhone simploy because of its limitations to only using apple supported file types I went with a motorola droidX I originally wanted a samsung fascinate but there were some technical issues getting it activated so I chose the droidx instead. I love my new phone and I am so glad I went with a droid
