It's up to you. You shouldn't be asking somebody else regarding your decision regarding your career. You might regret follow other's advice with this for the rest of your life.

Hi friend, When I want to reach a destination and I don't know the way, I usually stop my vehicle and ask some stranger the way to the place. Not because I trust them completely, but it's better to ask someone other than getting lost... I.T. career is a place where one should consult a lot of people before making some decisions. Happy mylotting to you! Regards, Ajith.

You have a point but merely asking for directions is way way different than asking for a career advice. What makes it worse is you're asking for people who you don't know and won't have a chance to know if they really are worthy to give an important advice. I highly disagree with your explanation. I think it's a waste what you're doing, asking advice on an important matter.

Hi there, glad to meet you again. I also had the same plans likee you when I was in 10th. But my dad never let me pursue engineering. Now I'm in medicine track. But I have a lot of friends who are pursuing the carer. Getting job via MCA will have tough competition from the M.tech side, still if you get a good job, the prospects are high. You might need some influence, esp. if you are trynig for govt. jobs. After completion of MCA, you will be able to get jobs in software engineering and development, hardware and networking, research and development, services and application support, etc... that's all what I know- from what my friends have told me. As far as software engineering and development is concerned, you can get job as a Trainee Programmer, software tester, analyst, soft. engineer or as a software programmer. The hardware section has jobs like designing, manufacturing and maintenance of computers. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant Technology Services, IBM, Accenture offers good job opportunity and salary- as far as I know- one of my friend's cousin got job with MCA degree; he gets a salary of 2lakhs. More than a degree, it's the skill, ability and dedication that deciedes the salary. I hope this post gave some information. I could only be of limited help because I'm not very upto date with this engineering section. I onlyknow from what my frinds tell me. If you want any help contact me via messaging, I'lll refer some friends and tell you. All the Best! Regards, Ajith.

I think you can get seats for BCA even without taking maths as an option... I'm not sure about it. What I have heard from my friends is that BCA can be taken with an option of either maths or computer science. If informatics practices comes under CS category, then definitly you can get it. I know that sikim manipal university offers BCA without maths, also heard about IGNOU, etc. But those are top colleges- you might need entrance exam or high cash. If you have studied subject related to subject related to java, mysql, html and networking, you can get jobs related to programming easily... I hope so. All the best, dude.

To be honest, rather than continue further with your studies immediately after your BCA, I would get some work experience. Employers are often wary of employing someone with impressive qualifications, but no relevent employment history. Try to get a job, even at a low level if necessary, that will give you the opportunity to apply your knowledge in a work environment. This will make your CV far more appealing to an employer in the future. Another benefit is that the experience gained would actually help with a Masters if you decide to persue that path in the future.

I think that doing work in between two courses will make it harder for the completion because once you tart doing jobs, the concentration towards studies decreases. I don't know- it just usually its like that. Anyway, it's his decision. Each guy has his own taste. Happy mylotting!!
