END OF THE WORLD "crap"! (Yet again)

end of crap - i hope it does

Hello Lotters, Who ever said this is completely selfish and has no regard to other people's lives. people assume to much at the end of the world where they disregard potential for evolution in technology and the human race. they don't want the human race to evolve rather than die of our own regular stinking carbon skin! Most of all, it's unfair! (for me) because this is the moment where my life of family is about to turn out after years of financial problems and my years of depression and almost totallly giving up crap. NOW they tell me it's the end of the WORLD! i think the apocalyptic crap is becoming too boring to boot. Though, if we can't stop global warming then it's going to be the END OF US and not the world. IF we can't end the "CRAP" that's been happening since the beginning, how on earth can you wnd the world.

Have you heard the latest about Israel? Though I am not claiming end of the world and your comment about the human race dying, I don't think that is what will happen when all this is over. Just keep watching, but watch where the truth lies, stay away from the media, especially the ones that sugar coat things..

Hi Letran, I think the media gives out the bad news more because it sells, it's all about the money..

Hello Carmel, That is true and indeed, media likes to give news that attracts people more than being informative. Some news are soooo boring that they wouldn't hesitate to at least consider airing it with a scare. Yeah, I don't watch much media news lately, even with the political criminals being allowed to go out. Some how I need the good news and media likes bad news because it's good for them. Have a nice day.

My fear concerning the end of the world is very basic. I imagine myself working here on mylot and my attention is so taken up with a rare intellectual topic, that the end of the world suddenly comes - and I missed it! There I am in hell, having to ask others, what happened?

Hello Petersum, Yeah, why would I be bothered by it, if it's coming, then i'd rather die doing what I really want and that is mylotting. Too bad not every one is as idiotic as they are thinking that the world would end. I think we should give ourselves time for evolution and more development for future perspective. If we are more into science, we might actually develop a way to escape or prevent it. Have a nice day.

I agree that to dwell on the end is not productive. I too, want to accomplish things before its all done. But I think we are real arrogant to believe it will never happen. Afterall, when you read things like this you realize how vulnerable we really are: http://www.jtirregulars.com/2009/03/that-near-miss-meteor.html http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/11/07/close-call-asteroid-near-miss-for-earth-yesterday/ http://www.scientificamerican.com/blog/post.cfm?id=record-setting-near-miss-of-earth-d-2011-02-10 All it would take is one.

Hello Debra, Well, if it does then some of us will die. we can prepare but there's no one knowing who will survive or not. i think the meteor thing is the real threat to our destruction because they go and come around. the last time a meteor came around it destroyed the dinosaurs. but am confident that we will have solution, we do have nuclear weapons

I heard on the radio that some preacher in the USA was spouting about the world ending this weekend. Apparently he has a lot of followers and they have all been promoting it as much as they can. The Apocolypse is here according to them! I think these crazies are idiots after attention to be honest. I do not think the world will end in any one big "natural" disaster. If it does come to an end for us humans, it will be a gradual end over many hundreds of years, maybe thousands and will be due to the loss of plants. It is already happening with farming practices since the agricultural recolution causing massice soil erosion. Soil that is needed to grow food. Also the bees are disappearing due to the overuse of chemicals in farms and gardens around the world. Bees are needed to polinate plants. Without bees, our food source will run out. We can reverse this trend if we all stop using chemicals and we each start building more soil through composting and reducing waste.

Hello Rawbill, I didn't give them much of a thought. Really, they are out of their minds that they even have people in my country even my own people are prophezing this end of the world thing. I think we still have the will to do it. A lot of civilizations have ended but to raise into a new world and new culture and society. If we end, there's always another. Have a nice day.

I agree. No one can predict when the end of the world is actually going to be. When the earth does it's thing, then we have no control over it and we sure cannot precisely predict the end.

Hello Steph, Nobody does and these group of people merely wants to make a fool out of themselves trying to convince the people that's going to end. there's no doubt no ones gonna listen to them, i bet they are doing this to predict and gather more members, but that's not happening for some reason;.

Hi Letran.^_^ I dont believe in the predictions either, even if they say that they used scientific calculations to determine the exact date. Only God knows when it will happen and it is really just up to us to be prepared for it. I do read and make myself aware of the predictions and the natural disasters that has been going on in the world. I just treat it as a reminder to tell the people that I care about, that I love them -- "just in case". That's just me anyway.

Live today, as if tomorrow is the last. That way you think you still have time to do the things that you wish to do. To things "now" rather than "later", and hope that there will still be a "later". Have a nice day to you too, Letran! Take care always.

Hello Bjcyrix, I don't think Mathematical calculations count in a Natural Disaster unless it's a Meteor or Astreod. well, it's an open minded articles but not something for us to be serious at besides, we got more important things to do in our daily lives. and it's unfair that we are told the world would end if we haven't done something to turn around in our lives yet. have anice day

Ahhh ... too sick of these fake doomsday predictions.I would rather keep myself busy with something else than to have my mind piled up with stupid stuff which never turn into reality. Its quiet evident that these so called predictors are looking out for limelight ... playing around with folks beliefs too lame. Great day ... looking forward to drop a comment on 22 may 2011

Hello Sunnycool, Predictions won't be too good if you can't handle the information. looking forward to other social network sites. those beliefs shouldn't consider being spread on the public because it will only spread in the public.

Hello Mantis36, I don't think it's gonna happen unless some lunatic wants to let it happen though. just like the fall of the Twin towers, people did that because they just want to fullfill or make people believe in the bible predicting the future. civilizations come and go and yet human race still moves on. if we still concur flood today, millions of years from now, human race would still come back.

Hello alberto, that depends solely how they used religion in practical application. unfortunately, to most they tend to use it to control and manipulate for a lot of reasons.. but they are those who use religion to do good to others, to guide them in doing right in their own lives.

I was only thinking about this today, as it's the 21st here in Australia. Everytime one of these things come up there are going to be people that really believe and take it to heart, act upon. Great, go spend all your money in the weeks before, don't bother to pay your bills, rent, maybe as it's draws closer tell the boss what you really think about him or her. "Cause hey it's all over. But"Oops, what happens if once again these type of people are wrong ? Will it make a good excuse to the credit card company, landlord, or the power company "Hey, just thought why pay, wouldn't be around as the end of the world was coming " Bet it doesn't, still get evicted, fired, discomected or whatever.
• Philippines

Hello MissDoll, yeah, that's another freaking benefit but unfortunately, the end of the world means just nothing. as of now, i hope this doesn't repeat again . these people ruin their reputation for nothing. they shouldn't have considered having this prediction and scares a lot of people out there.

I am old enough to have witnessed many times predictions of the end of the world. I don´t know why people like to spread these news and how is it that some people believe it and live in constant fear. I guess the end of the world comes for each of us the day we die. As for the rest, I think it would be nice to take good care of our home planet instead for piling up debris and polluting it meanwhile. Mankind is a powerful force of evil, if you want to put it that way. The earthquake and tsunami in Japan did less harm on the long run than the manmade harm made by the nuclear plant problem (whose ultimate consecuences will be hidden from most of us). Yet we proyect our energy needs so we can have more disposable unneeded gadgets for everything. Just now, thinking about this, I remember that I have 5 or 6 useless keyboards at home. I don´t know what to do with them. Why don´t we learn to make longlasting things as we had years ago? Technology has turned us into slaves of machines when we made them so that we could have more freedom helped by them. I wish we lived a meaningful life instead of thinking when doom will come. Have a nice day!

• Philippines
20 May 11
Hello marguicha, Yeah, i've heard that even in the late 80's they were so strong with this end of the world ploy but nothing happened. The nuclear problem was probably a lot worse than the tsunami because not only it's damaging those who are left behind but also their economy.with regards to technology I think it depends on us on how to use it properly and keep outselves from the abuse of it. Have a nice day.

hi there, what if it does happen? hahaha! and you are wrong! JOKE!! I also saw that on yahoo news and I find it like an old news that I don't want to hear yet again. I don't think anyone could predict the "end of our world". It is He who only knew when it will be.
• Philippines
20 May 11
Hello Danity, If am wrong then there wouldn't be any one else to say “am right! Or oh, my”! Because it's all gonna end. Not to mention, there wouldn't be anymore mosquitos buzzering around and kept bothering me when ever am in the computer, which is kinda positive side of it actually. I think the best way is to create technologies that prevents it or ensure our survival instead of thinking how the world is going to end. Have a nice day.
• Philippines
20 May 11
True! Hahaha! that mosquitoes! very funny. I wish that too. Instead of predicting when it will come, people should be more concern on how to live life to the fullest. Lets stop the craziness! Besides, the guy from US (Harold Camping) who predict the May 21 date also predicted the Jesus Christ will show up supposedly in 1994.

Hello CaptainAlbert, SOME OF THEM QUIT JOBS? that's very lame. i think no one would be alive enough to tell nor any one would have the technology to do so knowing that communications are impossible if the world does end if the world ends for real then it will end but it's the end of us and not the world.
