Coming home after realizing he is dying from cancer and have possibly only some weeks left to live, a notorious gunfighter try to relive life the best way he could including proposing to a widow. Taking a cue from his doctor friend who told him that dying by cancer is too painful, he decided to have one last gunfight killing three villains before he was gunned down. This was John Wayne's last movie and reflect the Duke's true life dying from cancer. Poignant movie. Great time traveling down memory lane with the Duke.
