I cannot advise you but I wanted to respond to wish you luck with your new site. I have a couple of sites that I am struggling to promote and I too have a limited budget so I cannot afford to pay anyone to market my online ventures. I hope you have better luck than me which I am sure you will because you are probably not as inexperienced as I am! All the best...

I know of that site and I have used it myself in the past. I may go there again and ask for some help with backlinks etc. Let me know if you know of any other cheap options, I need all the help I can get!Good luck with your site iwrite, keep us posted !

Well there are other options, just wonder what are you looking for, perhaps I can help too. Just found this group of designers in India and comparatively they are very cheap. I just hope they are as good as they claim. Then I would have a relatively good site.

You are right, I am as inexperience if not less than you. However I know a place you can people to promote for $5. I am not too sure it it is effective? If you like to try, I can sent you the link. It is called fiverr. The are other options too.

While engaging the professionals can be unnecessary and unaffordable, especially at this stage. However, I believe all is not lost especially since there are good computer schools around where I am sure you would be able to find some good students that might be up to the task to undertake your webpage design assignment.
At least, you will get some knowledgeable individual(s) that could help with the site's revamp, inexpensively and impressive. Hopefully, this would be of help to your current situation.

Well I understand where you are coming from, but in singapore there are limited programing schools and most of them do not specialist in web design. In fact the few that I visited have people coming from India and Philippines. So I thought I might as well go online to search for companies from there, might get a cheaper rate.

I've created a personal blogging website and a community site using wordpress, but I did it on my own. I'm not a very good programmer but wordpress is easy to understand and customizing it isn't as hard as hard coding it. :-) But in exchange to that, you have to spend a LOT of time. Time is expensive. If you're not in a hurry, you can make it yourself, you can save $$$.

I know I would be able to save money, however coding is a little complicated for me. Plus I wanted something that is not ready made. So I engaged on someone to do it for me. I know I had to spend some money but I hope it would be quick so I could make it back eventually.

Well I guess you'll need a domain which cost about $10/year then some $ for the hosting.

Wordpress? Rather complicated on my part. I know some html tricks here and there, and that's for the main construction of the site. I can work a bit in Flash to make a website since I've been practicing a bit as well. If you'd like, I could share some tips rather than having you pay money for someone. But if not, I wish you luck in finding someone perfect for the job.

Yes that is what I am trying to do, but cheap does mean good. I need to see if they able to do the job first right. Currently I am having email exchange with some developers but the price varies a lot. Some dirt cheap like $150 to one that is $9000. And the number is right 3 zeros. Man do not who to believe.
