Well, I am not sure if you've heard of it but I think it would be good to know and avoid some sunscreen brands on the shelves. The Environmental Working Group, a research and advocacy group had just released a Sunscreen Guide for 2011 which currently recommends a mere 20 percent of the 600-plus beach and sport sunscreens evaluated. Not sure if you are using any of the brands listed below which are to be avoided, I have to say that some of the brands are really reputable ones. Please check: * Aveeno Active Naturals Hydrosport Sunblock Spray, SPF 85 * Aveeno Sunblock Spray, Continuous Protection, SPF 70 * Banana Boat Kids UltraMist Sunscreen, SPF 110 * Banana Boat Kids UltraMist Sunscreen, SPF 85 * Banana Boat Sport Performance Active Max Protect Continuous Spray Sunscreen, SPF 110 * Banana Boat Ultra Defense UltraMist Sunscreen Continuous Clear Spray, SPF 85 * CVSExtreme Sport Clear Mist Sunscreen Spray, SPF 70+ * CVS Sheer Mist Sunscreen Spray, SPF 70 * Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Sunblock Lotion, Body Mist, SPF 70 * Neutrogena Spectrum+ Sunblock Spray, SPF 100 * Neutrogena Ultimate Sport Sunblock Spray, SPF 100+ * Neutrogena Ultimate Sport Sunblock Spray, SPF 70 * Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunblock Lotion, SPF 100+ * Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunblock Lotion, SPF 70 * Neutrogena Wet Skin Kids Sunblock Spray, SPF 70 * Neutrogena Wet Skin Sunblock Spray, SPF 85+ * Walgreens Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen, SPF 70 According to their research, SPF (Sun Protection Factor) high SPF products contain greater amounts of sun-blocking chemicals than low-SPF sunscreens. Instead, these ingredients may pose health risks when they penetrate through the skin, where they have been linked to tissue damage and potential hormone disruption. Also, studies supported a reduction in skin damage and skin cancer risk from high-SPF products, the additional exposures might be justified. So choosing sunscreens with lower amounts of active ingredients – SPF 30 instead of SPF 70, for example – is prudent. I am sure this will be a good guide for everyone who are contemplating shopping for the most suitable sunscreen. So, do read through before making your decision. I am using a sunscreen with low SPF as I am not using it much. Forgot the brand and hope it will be a good guide for everyone.

I have very white skin, and for me it's not possible to use low SPF cosmetics, because I will get burned and I'm suffering too much when it's happening.
