Anyone that follows my discussions started knows I have had several bouts of UTI's. Well I want to thank everyone that wrote me on those discussions, after taking, herbals remedy, water by the tons, I finally had to break down and go to the doctor and get the antibiotics anyway. I just have to let everyone know I went off caffiene for 2 weeks even to my tea. Yesterday I guess it finally hit that I was having withdrawels from the caffiene. this morning you would have sworn I was on drugs (other than my medicine) I had been doing barely no sugar, using honey and lemon instead for flavoring if I needed flavored water, and I could not remember my last caffinated cola. (I had stopped soda all together except for a caffiene free white soda) So I told my husband I was sure I was feeling withdrawels and got a cola out of the fridge. I don't guzzle it I am a sipper so it took about 2 hours to drink it but I had no idea how much I needed that and feel so much better. I have tried everything to balance my diet and what I drink but even my husband said, 1 caffinated soda a day should not affect you that much to drink a day. Have you ever went through this feeling trying to switch over and only drink water products and water? have to say it really was a bad feeling!

I too had experienced having a UTI. It was such a grueling experience. I had to take antibiotics 3 times a day and had to do away with drinking cola. For about a week I had to suffer that kind of routine. Thankfully the UTI was cured. Now I'm back to drinking cola but I'll try to be moderate because I'm afraid of having UTI again.

Thanks sophie. Yea I came off everything that contained caffiene. I like black tea and quit drinking that for green tea, I only drink like one soda a day. I am not a big eater or drinker so having to learn to drink more water, fills me up and then I eat less. Not that I eat that much either. Its like I can either drink or eat but not both. Yea I hate these UTI's as we age we can possibly get them easier. but my immune system is low anyway from different ailments so I try to readjust my eating habits and try to carry on! thanks for the response.
