Some discussions should no post. Yes/no?

Hi everyone. Some discussions should not post here in mylot. I want your valuable responses here regarding yes or no... " i love my mom/dad......", " my mom/dad has done something in favor of me....." or some others related to parents.... because there may have some mylotters whose mom or dad is not alive ( may be orphan too) and such discussions may hurt them. Same to brother/sister discussions...... " my kid makes me proud...", " i enjoy my kid's funny stuffs....", there may have some lotters without having a kid in their entire married life. Boyfriend/ girlfriend discussions also may hurt someone if he/she is searching true love. when someone posts their intimate moments, then it may bring some tears to some mylotters. Don't say that we should not post, we should if we wish to learn or suggest or seek advices regarding such relationships. but not to share your enjoyment or attachment with your close one...as someone here may miss the same and... your post has forced him/her to suffer a lot. Please think for a while.... no offense meant.

Hi shibham I feel it is okay because some discussions of personal nature actually help others who may not post to it but find it being helpful. This is an adult forum and therefore anyone who signs up surely understands that the content on here is specifically for adults. Therefore if something is not of a preference for one they can simply ignore it and not endure any hard feelings with it. I personally know many who post very sensitive discussions on here and have made some special friendships because I have been able to apply humble advise that the person has conveyed appreciation for. There are a lot of members here who actually have been saved by so many of us just by simply listening to them and apply humble advice.

yes. i'm sure many can appreciate. and coming here to mylot has been some sort of therapeutic for those who got stressed out at work, at home or even with the relationship issues that one experiences. i'd be the first one to admit that mylot helped a lot when i was emotionally down. and i appreciate mylotters and mylot friends alike, whenever they give a word of advise or simply make one's day a happier one.

Hi there, Yes I too have had a great deal of not so great days. I actually enjoy coming here for several reason, I find that many have been able to allow me to smile, and laugh when no one offline was able to. I also have received some wonderful advice to some very touchy situations offline that really allowed me to think clearly about the difficult moments. Not lastly, because my list can go on and on but when I come on here and read that someone has been diagnosed with cancer, a daughter was harmed, a person who is awaiting surgery, etc. etc.. it gives me a really hard look at my own issues and find that I am a truly blessed person. That understanding of their hardships allow me to be yet more humble, understanding and caring toward others.

How sweet of you and I merely conveyed that so that shib, understands that while some may have momentary issues, hearing from someone like me and the many others who has lived the life and walked the walk, actually does wonders. I know a member who has been here for 4 years and she happily says she has lessened her visit to her psychologist because of the wonderful members here on myLot.

I understand what you mean. It is true that some members can get hurt when they read about the happiness that other people experience, but I don't think that it would be right to ban those topics. I think that we should be able to express our sadness as well as our happiness. If we come across a discussion that is too painful we are able to leave it without reading it and we can choose which interests we want in our profiles. If it is too hard to read about children we can skip interests about parenting, if it is too hard to read about relationships we can skip interests about love etc. We are not forced to read discussions that make us sad, it is our own choice how we spend the time on MyLot. There are some discussions that I always skip because it find them painful to read, but I don't see why I should stop others from discussing those topics.

Hi porcospino.. thanks that you have understood. No, i neither say to ban those topics nor to post. Everyone are welcomed to post such topics but before posting should reread the post as it cant hurt any one by any means. This is my humble opinion that i wished to share. Its true that a lotter can pick up a discussion according to their choice and can respond, no one is obligated here to respond. Agree. have a nice day.

Agree mamu you are right. every discussion teaches us with several aspects... may be worried or joyous... not a matter at all. but who are we to make some one wept. Its better for a respondent to skip such discussions where they can't relate himself... Different views are always welcomed. Have a nice day. Meet you boss just later.

Yeah, i have no secrecy in my life and my life is like an open book. I am about to expose another fact of life later on here amiga. Have a nice day.

hello shiby, Mylot is a open forum site that will be fine as long as they are not violating any guidelines everyone here wants to share what is happening to their life happiness or sadness if you think they should not post something like that then you should not post your Lady Topic as far as I remember the Lady Number 19 almost have an intimate moment if you did not control yourself (but who knows what really happened?). We came from different part of the world, we don't have same feelings maybe some will get hurt but that will be unintentional unless someone post that discussion to hurt someone. I love this site for many reasons and one of them is I can freely express and share what I really felt. happy mylotting

Hi bhaby.. i know that its an open forum and everyone can participate according to their wish but when we share our bad events here then we get some consolations and supports, thus when we share something regarding happiness, then we are congrats by others who may be not so lucky to welcome such happiness. Just a strike on your mind.. but entirely, it depends on the individual where to respond or not? I am fully free to share my feelings and if i would have to conceal something, then i will not post lady 19, but yes, somewhere its hard to write the entire event as it may me more descriptive and a reader may ignore it for its length. Have a nice day.

having no experience may not deprive anyone to comment here. mylot is about sharing everything, even opinions and ideas. we're here to extend our views. it's also great to have people who spent time visiting your posts' pages. you should consider yourself lucky for that. you may not even realize that all emotions are present here. just enjoy and have fun, regardless of having no valuable responses.it's always the thoughts that count. don't mind posts that you don't like.it's just a waste of time and electricity.

I know what you are saying, but sometimes it's not so bad to remember. Maybe, even though it brings sadness for the moment, it gives someone the chance to vent their emotions or talk about something they might not have before. This can actually be a type of therapy if you think about it.

I am agree with you that it may be like a therapy and a lotter can treat him/herself better than before by participating on a discussion like above, i have mentioned. Actually i did not mean not to post as most respondents have misunderstood my topic. I just wanted to know your valuable comments regarding this issue. Anyway, have a nice day.

Hiya shibs, Why should´nt we write about all that what you have just mentioned? We all fall in love, have problems with Family and Husbands. Yes we could get some advice as to how to go about things if we need some advice. There are times I think that we can´t see the Forest for the Trees and maybe other People can help you see what answer you are looking for. I am reading what Jaiho says and the other user responding to her. That is funny shibs too. Maybe I am Lady number 300 and something what about the rest of us Girls? Shibs does have a heart of course he does puts that across in what he writes on his discussions at least for me he does.xxx No offense for me take care now all.xxx

Hi angel I am not telling not to post discussions like i have mentioned rather i am trying to say that we should be more conscious before posting. We should be sure that our discussions are not hurting anyone... At least we should not be more excited or hurry while posting a discussion. Hahaha... didi jaiho is always funny and thanks that You feel that i have a heart. Oh.. no, all are missing... my novel consists only 26 ladies.. 19 are already posted and 7 are yet to post. Hope all of you will read them as before. have a good day.

Me again, Forgot to mention that I am talking about disucssions that are not extreme ones. Ones like I have a Boyfriend or Girlfriend who likes going out somewhere else and I don´t that is the sort of discussion I am talking about. Sorry for the misinterpretation there. I always mostly skip those kind of deep life issues they are not for me to say anything at least I don´t think so.

myLot consists of users having different backgrounds but the site is so designed that it is possible to interact with every user if they post discussions that interest another user regardless of from which country they come from , whether male or female, whether young or old, whether rich or poor, whether sick or healthy, whether single, married or widowed, whether with children or no children, whether having a job or idle - the list is endless. All one needs to do is to pick topics that interests them and create topics for which they need responses. It is not possible to exclude topics as mentioned by you as then myLot will have zero topics to discuss on!

No friend. I am not saying not to post at all... i am just trying to share about the feelings of others that why type of impact can force them to think differently. I never say not to share such discussions but we should at least give some preferences of other feelings. I dont think that there will be zero discussion to participate... No offense meant as i have cited above just sharing my humble opinion have a nice day.

In my opinion there is every sort of person there on MYLOT but that dosenot mean we should not discuss specific topics which may hurt some specific category. People here are not bound they are free to discuss any topic which should not be against the GUIDELINES or which donot violate it. There will be limited topics if we care for these specific cases. But then i feel one should not make the lacking thing in his life to be his weakness one should be strong enough to face the truth of life because in any ways no one here is perfect more or less everyone has some thing lacking in his life.

Hi friend.. I never say that we should not post or discuss on those topics as its a basic platform of all mylotters. I just wanted to say that every one should think first a lot before starting a discussion... at least we can be more conscious. Have a nice day.

for as long as we are not violating discussion guidelines, mylotters can freely post a discussion of any topic he/she fancies. if we limit the discussions to only those that will not in any way affect others or possibly hurt their feelings... then we are not only limiting ourselves, we are missing out on so many things from learning from others. expressing a feeling of joy or sadness, marking a milestone or sharing an excitement, describing a day in your life, talking about people, money, work and a thousand more topics about life in general... these make a discussion works, these make mylot... a place to be. remove all that, you remove the very essence why mylot is not just a discussion board. no offense taken. and also no offense meant when i say, the very things that make people come alive in discussions are the very things you mentioned that we should not post. we can decide which discussions to participate in. if we can't handle others' joys and pains, then we can always move on to the next discussion. good day shibham!

No I really think that to worry about stuff like that is just silly. If I had a dog I loved and wanted to write about it then its good but if I thought well maybe someone out there lost their dog recently and reading how much I love my dog will make them sad... well then thats just kind of going overboard. Everyone has something that will bother them.

hi shibham but with that line of thinking almost any topic or subject or anything about our own problems will hurt someone in the s ame situation so we must not post,no no no. that would kill my lot completely.Did you not know that life has never promised any of us all roses with no thorns, all happy happy cheer cheer without some unhappy woe woe. We can instead by helping our friends here with our suggestions also helping others who read these discussions and have the same problems. we are most of us here to help, to learn , to make friends, and enjoy my lotting. The only discussions you would have left wou ld be very boring and innocus ones having to do with nothing really as people and life and its problem are what mylot discussions are all abut. Also if a discussion seems too painful to one person there are many others he or she can choose that are not painful In every life some rain may fall and without it we would never appreciate the sunshine and warm happy days.

I dont think we should not post if it is regarding some of the examples you stated above. I think that we should all be able to be free to speak about anything we want and not have to worry about if we are going to bring up memories or hurt someones feelings. The only things that should be banned from mylot are racist comments and any that discriminate against other people. Which already is banned. And like someone said this is a place where we can share and care and maybe help those mylotters that need advice but dont know how to ask for it.
