She gives me the finger even though she wasn't looking?

So I'm taking my boss home after going to do an estimate and there was a lot of traffic. This one woman was turning left out of a driveway, but she wasn't looking at all before pulling out into the road. She forced me to slam on my brakes so she could drive into the road, and she has the nerve to give me the finger. I couldn't believe that she would do this. If I hit her, it wouldn't have been my fault. I mean geeze. I did this during my road test and failed it as a result. She does it and thinks it's fine to do. Put others at risk, real swift don't you think?

I seriously dislike when some drivers are quite careless then have the audacity to be upset. It happens all the time here and they look at as if I am to blame and truly they are especially the times when many are on the phone.

That's because everyone thinks they're the master of their environment (wherever they happen to be), and everything they do is 'right' until someone or something else (which is obviously 'wrong') gets in their way.

..this is the reason why I always had to do a prolonged press on my horn everytime I get along with stupid drivers on the road. Ive encountered alot of them on the road and note, some of them almost killed me. Ive been driving for 5 years now so i really had to get on my head everytime. Just keep your temper. When you drive always stay away with your emotion. There is no perfect driver but so many stupid driver.

I'd have gotten her license plate number, and reported her!

but she's the center of the universe, don't you know that? (I bet she was on the phone too!)

Yep. Bet she thought she was the only one on the road and it all belonged to her anyway.

Not on the phone, just not paying attention. But her actions seemed like she did think she was the only one out there.

at 6:30 or so one morning I had something like that (sans finger) happen to me She came out of a nearby apartment complex not slowing, I had to stand on my brake to not hit her. She went down to the corner and hesitated. Now, if this had been just about ANY OTHER STREET IN TOWN it might've been one thing, but it was the BUSIEST street (besides the high ways) in town... it actually has a number like a highway, just not at this point... Well, she ONLY hesitated and blew thru the stop sign and got broadsided by the van on the major street who also TRIED to stop. I happily called the police and EMS and waited to be sure they knew who was to BLAME!

People are so disrespectful anymore. When I get the proverbial finger at any time, I just smile and wave. This makes 'em more angry than if you give the finger back.

I should have done that, but my reaction wasn't that one. I gave her a finger back.

Well, keep in mind, there's a be-one end-all cure to road rage, as my driver instructor once told me, "grow up". Ha ha. Don't let it get to you. Sometimes when I'm stuck in traffic and people are driving like idiotts - I get irritated too. Especially if they honk at me (I'll usually honk back)

I am on the road all day and put up with all kinds of crap. But at the end of the day, it gets really annoying. My boss says if someone behind me honks at me, I should get out, walk up to their car and ask if I can help them with something. This is kind of an inside joke between us. I'd never do it though, it's just not my style.
