Ngiti dyan - smileys

Hello there, I always encounter this scenario that when ever i create a discussion, it doesn't matter how long it is, usually the putting of smiley is the last step after uploading photos in the discussion. now, more often i would have successfully create a discussion and then with the photo. but when ever i post more than one smiley, it would give me a warning. but here's the thing the photo i upload will not load because of that error. So, remind every one to count their smileys before successfully uploading a discussion or a photo in a discussion. by the way, it's only three, don't push it

Hello Jaiho, I think there's no differnce the war and anger sadli () because it's just an expression. i think if there's going a war emoticon, then that smiley should have a soldiers hat or roman soldier hat or something. that's because am not sure of how other people are gonna react to it.

Hello sjvg, well, the technique there is you write you're comment or response first, then that's when you put the smileys so that the code would have effect once you have submitted a post. yes, this happens to every one and not so surprising but it's something i also wanted to share the issue with.. who knows, some one might start this kind of topic too

if i could put more than 3, i definitely would. but 3 is already the limit. fair enough to say that i'm more conscious of the number of smileys now than i did before. but i still get the warnings often. because 3 is often not enough. hehe

well... any over-use can be abuse. and we wouldn't want that. hehe even tags have limit.

Hello myles, If the smileys are not part of the earning program then having more than three smileys would have been allowed for sure. but three is enough i guess. besides, some people tend to over use the smileys too much. we are not always aware that we would put more than three smileys in the discussion.

I didn't know we can't post to more than 3 smileys. I guess I haven't crossed the line yet, or else I would know right? Then why can't you post more than 1 smiley when you upload a pic? Is the pic counted with the smileys?
• Philippines

Hello swirlz, No, you can put smileys with out the picture. but the problem that i encountered is that when ever i accidentally upload pics and then warns of having more than three smileys, that's when the error starts, most specially when it comes to failing to upload the pic once the discussion had been submitted.

Oh I see. But you did it with this discussion. So the error only happens when you already have a photo then you added too much smileys?

Thanks for the tip! I use emoticons a lot, but don't upload pictures too often, because I have trouble or get error messages. maybe this explains one of the things I've been doing wrong!

Hello Suzie mom, You welcome, this had been my situation for a very long time being here in mylot. most specially when it comes creating a discussion, or responding a discussion. in a situation where you have to upload photos though there's an error when ever you tried to submit information with photo uploaded and more than 3 smileys. once the warning is there, the uploaded picture is gone once you submitted it again.have anice day

Your correct my friend and all mylotters that we have a limit for putting smilley in our discussions and comments - mylot limit us up to maximum of 3 smileys. I wish additional smileys and add more emotional or can be upload our own smiley, is it possible or not? but sometime I forget to put smiley... is there any benefits like extra earnings... LOL

Hello visavis, well, if we are not earning from those little guys then the admin would have considered allowing us putting more smileys. of course, we also earn from the smileys, is that the reason why you're not using them? most people would have want more but they got used to having three of them only. have a nice day

I hardly ever use the smiley icons. I have used them more than once before though and it did tell me that I was exceding the limit in the post. I juts don't use them anymore or just make my own.

hi letranknight no I often goof and get scolded by mylo admins I had fou r so have to delete. I must learn to check that as I love using the smileys myself to add a bit of fun or emotion to what I wrote. I think it should be four instead of three but I bow to admins and dutifully delete the extra one,. lol

I used to count my smileys before I post, but nowadays I don't. I don't know why though. I guess I'm more concerned with getting my comments posted rather than getting the smileys in. Normally, I would do the same as you - fill in all the smileys after typing in my comments. I like this one!

not a big fan of the mylot smileys. no offense meant to mylot or my fellow mylotters who use the smileys. i use these once in a while but never really been a big fan. i would put a word in bold or italics to stress a point but smileys don't appeal to me as much. to each his own i guess. cheers!!!

It has been a habit of mine every since they put on that maximum restriction on smileys. It just makes it easier for me to post if I count my smileys. I used to post 3-5 smileys before because I like to emphasize specific points with the corresponding show of emotion through the emoticons. But I guess it can be considered spamming of sorts. So, to save time from having to edit and repost smiley overloaded responses, I just count starting from the first one that I choose off the myLot code section.

I did not think that there would have been a limit on a thing like smileys.I myself have never put any in a discussion, but a lot of my friends tend to put them in a discussion.

hello , if the point of the discussions is " do you count before you post" then I definitely do cause it's a waste of time if you would be asked to re submit again. Not really strict counting but just conscious in what you are doing while I type

Hello bhaby, actually you earn more if you put all THREE smileys instead of one. yeah, but the angry smiley is actually a lot better interpretation if some one goes to war with another mylotter but that's exactly what i want to avoid as of the moment. i realized because i was a bit cold to come one earlier.
