I am just plain amazed at some newbies on this site!

When I get a friends request I just accept them not thinking anything about the person. But I am so surprised by some of them I get a friends request from a newbie and instantly I get sites that they want me to join. Plain fact I don't have much time for my lot much less any other site. So I don't join any sites without knowing that I can really make a few bucks in a little while. I am usually really busy during the warmer months now if it was the cold seasons I might join if I know something that will draw me to a site. But these newbies send me sites that they say they have made money on but tell me absolutely nothing about a site but want me to be a refferal on their site to make money off me.....LOL That is funny I am not active on this site much less any other site. I even had one person send me a site and I joined it and they got mad at me because I wasn't active enough so they deleted me as a friend! If I request a friend it is because I read a discussion that they wrote and I really liked it. But since being on this site I don't think I have ever requested a friend.

I think I would send them a PM and explain just why I was then deleting them from my friend's list. I don't think I'd be able to keep from giving them a real honest assessment of my opinion of them. Unfortunately, I don't think that the offenders in this instance, see these types of discussions and so will just continue with unacceptable spamming. I'd report them to administration too though I don't know as that would help much.

Thanks, free...No one paid much attention to my little dragon until I was able to attach it as animated. I've had it a long time...HWG knew how to resize it so he would blow out his little fire so she did that for me. Now I get all kinds of remarks about him.

Hi Yoyo. I did pm them and still haven't heard anything from them but will delete them if I don't hear from them today. I was kind to them and asked them to tell me about the sites they want me to join but no response so I will delete them and report them today. I don't think it will do much good either to report them but will do it because I think it is the only way to keep this site spam free. Thanks for sharing my friend. My husband and I love your avatar.

I am sorry for your experience, but I think many members here experienced it. I just realized that not only newbies did it, even the old members did it too. I don't like it, and often don't read it. Sometimes I would reply: not interested.

Yes, I think we have all been there. That might be one of the reasons I for one am a little leary about accepting someone who is Newer as a friend until they have proven that they are worth wanting to having as a friend. I too am one that is very Leary of money making sites, and usually will not just jump onto anything, especially when a small Fee is required as I have been burned way too many times. So for me it is worth it too wait, but I accept many New friend requests all the time.

I have accepted 2 new friends that didn't have discussions or responses just because. Then as soon as they were accepted they sent me links to some other site. I just plain don't have time to spend here on my lot much less anywhere else. Then when I responded to them I asked them about the sites but nothing they never told me anything. Why would anyone want to join a site and not know anything about is what I am thinking. If a site wants money from me they are barking up the wrong tree I won't spend a dime to be on a site.

I dun mind them at all. It is okay that they send me their links. If they send them my way, I just ignored them they wont bother me anymore. I just noticed that because two of them find me terribly horrid at discussions that they deleted their friendship. I guess others have deleted theirs too but they are not those who I care about so it didnt matter at all.

Hi Momof3kids and welcome to my lot. It just plain bothers me that a newbie that don't have any numbers by their name would request a friend to send them links. It won't get me to join any site if they don't tell me about the site what it is about then they are barking up the wrong tree. I won't join!

I find it to be annoying when people decide to spam PM me with referral links, if you're going to sign up for something, you shouldn't do it just to spam people, it makes me not want to sign up for whatever they've sent me.

Hi ReViewMeMedia. It makes me want to scream when I get these. Long time ago it was against my lot rules to spam someone. Is it still against the rules I'm not sure but bet it is. If someone sent me a pm and asked me if I would be interested in looking at their sites and tell me what the site is all about I might go look at it. But when they send me links I just plain delete the message and don't even look.

Actually when I joined here 9 months ago as newbie here first thing I done was asking request for a being friends here, then later I receive some request back of being friend also. I never ask or check if anyone request be a friend I had no second thought to accept, I had never have any on hold request for friends here in mylot - Im' open to everybody to be a friend...

Hi Visavis. I don't usually check to see their profile page either I just usually accept. This world is full of all kinds of people from around he world and we are all different and I respect all and would appreciate the same respect from those that request my friendship. In the bible it says do unto others as you would have done unto yourself! That is how we live our lives on and off my lot.

Oh, I get that a lot too. For awhile if they sent me a link, I would send them all of my links right back. Other times I have just deleted them. I usually just accept friends and hope for the best. There is always the delete button and I do not mind using it.

Hi GG. I have been on this site for a little while but I have never used the delete button on a friend. But really thought about deleting these ones that send me these links. Figured though I would give them a chance but one of the friends that sent me a link still hasn't got any points by her avatar. Think she joined this site to get referrals so I will delete her today. Thanks for sharing my friend.

I let mine brew for a couple of days before I make up my mind. If they have 0 next to their names and two days go by and it's still 0....I deny....I don't want a bunch of sites I can join....I spend enough time here! I don't have time for a bunch of other sites...

I get loads of friends requests on here as well and these are from people that have not even been on here an hour, as well as the people that have not even started or responded to a discussion.I tend not to accept them and just leave the request un answered, this way if they do any good discussions then i can add them later on.

Hi Jugs. I never thought about it but your way sounds like a good way to pick friends when they request it. Thanks for sharing taught this old dog a new trick.....LOL
