My first console was a PlayStation. My brother took it when we moved, but I had already bought a Playstation 2.

This is just a sneaky way to find out how old we are right? I say that, of course, 'cuz my first system really dates me. I had a Coleco Entertainment System that played 12 or so variations on Pong. Black & White with game names that sounded kool, like Hockey, Tennis or Futbol, but were really just Pong with a different number of paddles per side that you moved all at once with a dial-type controller. The controller, by the way, was built-in to the console so you had to sit right in front of the TV to play. The best part was you could play against the computer (which cheated) or against another person, but, of course, that person had to sit so close to you to use the other controller that they might as well be in your lap. Good date game, not so good if your defeating your brother or sister and they are close enough to sock you a good one. But, we loved it. Until, years later, my parents got us an Atari 2600.

Well, I the first one I played was the Atari, but the firs one I had was the Super Nintendo. Wow! I say this and I feel so old! But I really enjoyed to play this kind of game. Recently I got a Pac Man game just to revive those days. I love it. My husband said: "Are you going to buy that?" And then we were at home playing and every time he lost he got so hysterical. It was so funny. We had a great time playing Pac Man.

The first video game console I ever really remember having a major impact upon me was the Nintendo Entertainment System, NES. I mainly played any of the Super Mario Bros. series or Bubble Bobble, and am told I learned my right from my left and other basic concepts all from playing video games. Kirby's Adventure was also a big title for me, although I don't remember getting that until much later. We also had an Atari and a Commodore 64, but the former was a travesty and the latter was rather complicated to figure out, even if it did have Lode Runner. The NES was my favorite.

Hi Ridge: I remembered that when I was like 6 years old, my father bought me an atari. I really enjoyed these days. It was not the best device but I appreciate this gift. And now that I am 23 years old I buy a Nintendo Wii for myself . ALVARO

A Family Computer is my very first game console. It was a gift for my birthday, actually I ask for it from my dad. I love playing games. Especially Super Mario. Nothing beats the classic, I still love playing Supermario even in my PC.
