Have you ever returned a product that you used a coupon with? Usually when you return a product that you used a coupon, they're supposed to give you back the cost of the coupon because they're getting reimbursement of the coupon. The one store I have a problem is my local Rite Aid, they said you lose the coupon so that means they're trying to rip you off. I bought 2 nail polishes, they were buy 1 get 1 50% off. I used coupons and my total was like $3 bucks for 2 but I wanted store credit to buy something else because it turns out I already had the product... but they said they'd only give me back $3 bucks. I said well okay, then give me back those coupons I used so I can use it for something else. They said no, it's for them to keep in which they will get reimbursement money from the manufactures. I don't think that is fair. What is your view on that? Other stores I have never had a problem, they reimburse the coupon money automatically.

Hi there, I don't think I have returned anything after using a coupon but wanted to add that it would not be fair they actually get reimbursed if the product is returned. Wonder if they actually? But it would make sense they do as it is tallied to the sales for the day you bought the item. If they are not taking the coupon into account upon it's return then it would seem they are gaining. They least they can do is give a store credit for the coupon amount would be a fair trade is my thought.

They are gaining because when I go to another rite aid, they tell me they still send off the coupon, and they have to reimburse you. I told them to give me store credit and they said no. It's a rip off rite aid I will never go to again =)

That is unfair for them to gain for a product they perhaps now will sell full price.

This is interesting. I've never had this happen. I see what you are saying in that the store will get extra money from the coupon. Are you saying other stores would reimburse you for the full price of the nail polish? That means in theory you could make money using coupons..lol but what a slow process that would be. I don't use many coupons but I keep telling myself to get organized and use them efficiently.

Yes in theory you can make money off using coupons cause coupons is like money. I only returned a few times only to come home having the nail polish already. I have a massive collection &didn't know I had the color so I didn't want it. But, I just exchanged it cause they were only going to give me back a few bucks. I mind as well exchange it =)
