What, Me Worry?

Somebody once said, “Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday, and all is well.” I wish it would have been me. I like that quote. For somebody who tries to see the positive side of life, I admit that I do tend to worry a lot. Usually, I worry more about my family's well-being than my own. I want everyone to be healthy and happy, not hurting and sad. Maybe that's why I joke a lot. I know things aren't always as bad as they seem. But I want those things to be better. So maybe I should start worrying less and enjoying the now as it is - making improvements as I can. Yeah, that's the ticket! Do you worry a lot? Do you have ways to minimize worries?

Gantwick, I like that quote too! I have never heard it before but it rings very true with me. I, like you, am a worrier. Most of my worries are about money :( I have a lot of debt (the result of some bad decisions) that I am working on and it has me VERY strapped for cash. I try to stay positive and enjoy the things I do have. I have an AWESOME group of friends who are mostly as broke as I am, so we try to find low budget ways to have fun. I don't have any good advice for you, but I want you to know that you are not alone. Hang in there!

Thank you for your response! I think I should be more like my cat. He spends a good deal of his time not worrying about anything. If he's hungry he lets me know - sometimes by walking across my keyboard and lying down on my hands. Sounds like I'm in the same boat as you. The lack of money, due to being laid off and not finding a sustainable job, has caused me to resort to creative ways to have fun.

Having pets definitely helps. I have 2 dogs and it's like free entertainment sometimes! It's funny how cats will walk right on top of whatever you are doing regardless of what it is. :)
