A filipino actor from the past who have a cult following

Earlier I was in a video store, checking some dvds but I don't really have plans to buy them, and just reading their synopsis. When suddenly these two weird Canadian guys pops out of nowhere. They were asking people in the store where they can get movies of a certain Filipino actor. No person from the store is able to help them. Then they asked me about WengWeng. I wasn't able to answer your question because I don't know who the heck is WengWeng. Now I tried to google WengWeng and I found out he is some action star in the late 1970s. What makes it different from other action star is that he is a midget. He have some dwarfism. The reason why I don't know who he is, is that he died years before I was born. Anyway around 2007 some person uploaded clips of his movies in Youtube and it went viral. Weird as it may sound, because of the fire viral videos he have a fan club in Australia, Canada, Brazil and he even have a fan sites in French. I founded weird he have Cult following outside our country while most of us Filipinos already forgotten who he is. He is able to be famous outside the Philippines Decades after his death. There are viral videos dedicated to him, he have some fan club and none of the members are Filipino. I just realize a person can gain fame decades after their death.
