Well I would have to say to that very rarely. I used to though. i used to have this thing that everyone that replied to my discussion I had to be there friends because I thought that was the way to actually be successful in mylot. Anyhow how though I stopped that still. That only lasted a few months after I just joined this site, couple years back. Nowadays what might actually get me to look on a persons profile is when I see they doing realy good. What I mean is they are constantly getting best responses. I am curious to seeing people like that so I might check up on that, for example, HARDWORKINGGURL. She is constantly getting best responses, and people like those influence me to do my best in mylot. Another thing that I see bring me to check on a person's profile is if I simple interested in them. Let I show you an example. There was this girl that created a discussion on cars (i think the discussion got deleted after though), and she was telling us how interested she was in cars and how she love driving manual etc. I never met a girl really interested in driving manual cars. So I got really interested in her. Then she told me her age and I realize that we basically have everything in common. Same age. we both love driving cars, etc, specially manual as well. So just concluding I would have to say basically only two things bring me to look at a person's profile. 1)Amazing work. 2)Some interesting characteristics.

The only time I do is if I am addressing the person as he or she and usually if I have already interacted I may already be able to tell, by prior interactions and or I may forego the he/she and not address, I guess it depends on the type of discussion. If I get a friend request and I have never interacted with the member I may go look at the profile just to see what their activity is like as if we have never interacted I often wonder why request.

yes I get what you mean! Why randomly request? some people like just having a lot of "friends" i guess.

I usually don't mind the request especially since I have had a hard time rejecting but to date I have almost 800. Though I am very active and do keep up with a lot of my listed friends discussions, there are many that I really cannot relate to and the last thing I want is for the member to feel ignored. So i try to wait for sometime now and see what their interest is like. See there are things I have no clue about and the last thing I want to do is post for the sake of posting. The other too is that some come here specifically to spam in PM. While I have not had too much trouble with it, I have had many with zero activity and if I leave them pending for a few days I usually see that they are gone for whatever reasons. So I find it is best to take the friend request slow. Welcome to myLot to you.

Hi! I usually look at a myLotter's profile when they send me a friend request. I take a look if they have been active here in myLot at least within the week and I also take a look what kind of discussions they have started or responded to. Of course, I also take a look if they have responded to a discussion I posted. If the person seems okay, then I accept their friend request.

I look at the profiles of those that requests me to be their friend, before i approve them. I also look at the profiles of those who answers to my discussions, but is not among my friends list. That way, i seem to be speaking to him/her when i read their responses.

Hi JoelleRenee! I usually look at the profile if I have read some interesting discussion or comment from that person. It's just more interesting if I find that we're from the same country or from the same place. There are also cases wherein I'm interested about their avatar or usernames. Well, it's just fun having more friends.

I'd just see someone else's profille when they add me as friend or I want to add them as friend.
