Sometimes I don't finish a book if I just don't want it to end. I've done that with a few books and have gone back a few years later and finished them off. I don't think there's something wrong with you!

I borrow lots of books at the library and I finish most of them, but there are some exceptions. Sometimes a book isn't as interesting as I thought when I borrowed it. When that happens I usually give the book a chance and continue reading for a while, but if I still don't find it interesting I don't finish it. Some time ago I read a book that didn't have any paragraphs or any punctuation. It took me a long time to read that book, because it was really difficult to figure out where one sentence ended and the next one started. It was pretty frustrating and I was about to give up, but I managed to read all of it. If it happens again I am not sure that I will have the patience to finish that kind of book.

Often life takes over for me, and so I will make it halfway through a book and then it suddenly goes untouched for months. I always find myself starting all over when this happens. Even though I may remember everything that happens where I left off (I've been blessed - and cursed - with a great memory) it just doesn't feel right to pick up in the middle when I haven't touched the book in forever. To enjoy the book fully, I have to read it at a more continuous, steady pace, little by little each day. I always eventually finish the books I read, even if it ends up taken ages! I just have to stay committed and make time each day even if it's just a few minutes. When I was in school, I would NEVER finish books. I think it's because I was constantly being forced to read for each class, which really made me burn out easily when it came to reading. Now that I am out of school I can enjoy it again. I don't think there is anything wrong with you. I might suggest you take a couple minutes each day to read at least a few pages. As you become more used to taking time out of each day for reading, you may grow more comfortable with it and be able to read more. Also, make sure you're at least somewhat interested in the subject matter of the book you're reading. It will help you stay dedicated. Good luck!

I read quite a bit. I like to finish books, but from time to time I will start a book that doesn't hold my attention enough to continue reading it. Usually then I will read the end. If I am not intrigued, I put the book down.

I finish almost every book that i read cause it takes a pretty bad or inappropriate book to turn me away :) Sometimes i take a while to finish a book cause I ignore it for a while but it gets done eventually.

Hi, we are alike. Though i love to read and learn, i find it hard to finish a book. And, i like reading several book in one go. Sometimes i read the beginning, in the middle and at the end.

I usually do finish the books that I start reading. Sometimes, it might take me a while to finish, while other times I can finish it quickly. Either way, I do eventually finish the books that I begin to read.

i usually don't start reading a book if i think i could not finish them. But I do finish every book I have read, except of my text books at school. [Laugh out Loud] I had finish novels and pocket books but I could not say that I am a reader...

I try to finish every book I read becuase it would be a shame and quite frustrating if I read something and won't know the outcome. I usually finish fast the books that I really like while I falter when I came across some material that I really have no interest in. But I try to get the general idea so I can at least understand the material as it is.

Now this is an Issue faced by me all my life. Maybe because we get distracted pretty soon or maybe because we might think we know whats more in it. This is what i guess is my problem. And mostly i dont get enough time to complete a book. Now think you started reading a book, the firat time you leave it halfway through will be because of some reason or if something comes up. Now that reason is the main reason why you dont go all the way through:)
