I was feeling down a while back, not in a good mood and couldnt shake it. I tried everything from meditation to shopping, from walking my dog to going for a drive but I couldnt shake that black cloud over my head. Then last night I was on my way home after having been at dad's house. I always have music on quite loud and all of a sudden, "I got a feeling" started to play. Wellll......All of a sudden, I felt like stopping the car and dance on the side of the highway lol . It lifted my spirit right away. I got home I was in a very good mood, you couldnt have wiped the smile off my face I guess its the magic of music. Have a go, listen to it and tell me if that song doesnt make you wanna dance or feel like you have happy feet? What song has you feeling very happy?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSD4vsh1zDA

Listening to music certainly does change the mood. Every evening, after I get back home from work, I would stretch out on the couch and listen to music CDs. That has become my favorite way of relaxation and getting rid of the stresses of the day. I keep a collection of classical music CDs, Mozart, Chopin, Brahms, Beethoven, Johan Strauss, and more.

I know what you mean. I had forgotten the power of music. I can tell you that Im back to it now. You seem to know exactly what to listen to so you can relax after a stressful day. Thanks for sharing!

Music does seem to reprogram your brain waves and your heart rate will match to it as well. I like seventies and eighties music a lot. Things with a good beat and singable or danceable or both. I am glad this was helpful, I can understand why.

So true that music has this effect on the human body. I think it does for animals and plants too. Thanks!
