Dealing With Pakistan?

I wonder if Pakistan is really uninvolved with the Taliban and the deceased Bin Laden. However, I am sure the majority will agree and believe otherwise, with me here. It is clear and blatant how the most notorious Bin Laden could be residing in their most sensitive or otherwise safe haven of this country. In recent weeks, American intelligence had been forthcoming with intelligence reports of specific locations of insurgent bomb-making factories, only to see the militants learn their cover had been blown and vacate the sites before military action could take place. Since time, I believe Pakistan has proven more than a friendly ally and a reliable one as well. With this evident compromise, I wonder if the US would want to reconsider their support to such an unreliable so-called ally. Seriously, I think it is time to draw the line. Now, what did we learn about doing deals with the devil? Read more: http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/karzai-arrives-in-pakistan-for-reconciliation-talks/2011/06/10/AGzsWPOH_story.html

Common sense tells you that the people of Pakistan knew that Bin Laden was living among them. They were protecting him. He was too big of a person to be there without people knowing who he was. He had most of his family there. How could they come and go and take care of business without being recognized? Let's just say that Pakistan was serving two masters. It pays to collect from all that you can right?

Adoniah, I believe the facts are blatant enough since much time ago where Pakistan had repeatedly and adamantly denied their involvement with the terrorist cells. I hope that the US along with other countries would consider carefully about making any future deals with such a volatile country. I am sure the country will be reaping much more in time to come.

Well considering the months following 9/11/01 the Money that paid for the Terrorist to get flying lessons came from Pakistan we should be there right now and taking care of business. We shouldn't of gone to Iraq we should of followed the Money we would of had to flip the Middle East upside down but guess what we wouldn't be doing it alone the French and other nations that dropped out would of been there to help us because after 9/11/01 the Nations that we had helped in WWII where ready to help us for their own protection as well as the History that we share with these countries and we shouldn't went after Iraq or any country that actively fought to keep groups like Al Queida out which Saddam did for the simple fact he didn't want us to go near his country. He was afraid of what we did to him in the last war you think he wanted to lose his power when we came within eye sight of Bagdad the first War.

dark_joev, I wouldn't call it a lost cause here especially when the Middle East is so divided and struggling mixing politics and religion or rather radical religion together. IMO, I felt that the intervention is necessary especially when it is giving them the much needed stepping stone to make the first move. I know it may seems like America is being "nosy" when countries like France and even UK are backing out. But, if you look at it from another angle, these 2 countries have never been reliable allies when it comes to sending military troops to war ridden countries. No offense, to the French and British here.

Pakistan - No other allies.Take it or leave it.
It not about whether pakistan is good or bad allies. The things is that are no other allies in that region for USA. If USA don pretend or really want to ally Pakistan then the terrorists cells will surely take over the whole pakistan. It all political and intelligence survival there.Clock and dagger stuffs. It is already well known pakistan is harboring terrorists from the day , they inflitrate india mumbai terrorists attack.Imagine how many big politician in pakistan that were assinated.

kukueye, It is really a wonder how the Pakistanis could actually lie blatantly to the whole world and especially their allies with the Al Qaeda episode. Worse, they are still at it and believe that they can go below everyone's noses. This retaliation just affirms what everybody believes that they had been double agents all along.
