Dallas wins NBA 2011 Finals -- how do you feel (or who were you rooting for)?

Dallas Mavericks won this year's NBA finals. I'm happy because I was rooting for them (I originally wanted Chicago Bulls to go against Miami, but well...). I went for Dallas because I felt they were more of the underdog compared to Miami. I'm happy Nowitzki et al won the title this year. How about you, who did you cheer on this year and how'd you feel that the Mavs bagged the NBA crown?

I'm not really a Dallas fan either but I'm glad that they won over Heat. I understand that it was their first time to win the Championships which makes me see the reason why they deserve to win the game. Congratulations Dallas Mavs!

happy for the Mavs. I've always rooted for Dirk Nowitzki. I've been following the career of this nimble giant and so far 'm happy with his performance. I'm glad he finally got the ring he deserved to have

Yeah, even though he was feeling sick in Game 5 (if I'm not mistaken), he really did deliver and helped pull the team through. He does deserve the championship ring and the finals MVP award.

I rooted for dallas as well because im a big fan of Jason Kidd (for me, this era's best point guard). He has been the best in the business on what he does and i don't like labelling him with the stocktons and malones in the NBA. His stats and records are at par with magic and the other greats but he just can't get to the ring thing... plus dirk and terry are coming of age as well so before they leave, they should have a ring as a remembrance of their greatness in this era. For me, this is their last chance to get that ring and there will be none if they fail again. I didnt root for miami because of their youth... they will have their chance because playing together for the first time, they made it to the finals and maybe James will have not 1, not 2, but more than those if they play to another level.

I know, it's about time Kidd gets a championship ring. And he now has it! Yay! Miami is a strong team, but I guess they just have to play together, you know? I hope it's not just James or Wade who's bringing in the points. And well, yeah, I'm not really a fan of LeBron...

I was rooting for the Chicago Bulls to win the NBA championship this season too but to no avail the stronger Miami Heat came out to be the Eastern Conference Champion. Derick Rose has still many chances to come though. When it came to the championship series I was betting on the Dallas Mavericks to win because of one reason. The reason is...... I really hate LeBron James. He doesn't have a heart of an athlete. He don't shake hands with the opposing team when he loses. It's good they have been beaten by the Dallas Mavericks. I pity Duwayne Wade. He should go to the Chicago Bulls next season. Very nice game Dallas, congratulations! Well, its high time that they won. I hate to see the great Jason Kidd retiring without a taste of victory. Hats-off to you Jason! WAY TO GO DALLAS!!

I was cheering for the Bulls early on as well. But Rose and company will have their chance, probably next season. Hehehe! And yeah, it's a good year for Kidd, as well as Nowitzki and Terry. They now have a championship ring!

I was rooting for Miami to win the series, I just don't like Dallas and specially Nowitzki. That's not mean that I like LeBron, because I really don't, but between the two teams I prefer the Heat (since my Lakers did a early exit). But the way that LeBron played the whole series, he didn't deserved to win this title, for a player like him, he should have play a lot better.

Thanks for replying, I think you're the only Miami fan in this thread (so far). I do believe that between the two, Miami was the stronger team. I guess I can say that I rooted for Dallas instead mainly because of LeBron. In my opinion, if Miami plays as a team (not just one player doing all the shots), they'll be a really great team and may win a future NBA championship. I think you're kinda rare, since I know a lot of Lakers fans who cheered for Dallas during the finals. Nice to hear an opinion from a Heat fan. Thanks for stopping by.

I am very happy the Dallas Mavericks won! When they beat the LA Lakers in the conference finals I was a Maverick fan! I am glad the Miami heat got put in their place! They got what they deserved! The Heat never should of had the stupid news conferecne when they brought out Dwayne Wade,LeBron James and Chris Bosh! Then James bragged about all the championships they would win! Well that bit them in the butt and they deserved to lose! Congrads to the Mavericks! Way to go! Ya baby!

Ooh, I failed to watch the said news conference where LeBron bragged about them winning the championship. Aww, poor him (hahaha!). Well, personally I don't like LeBron that much... so I guess I can also say good for him, here's a lesson in humility.

Way to go Dallas! I'm not really a fan but I chose them over Heat. Why? because I root for the underdog. :) Heat was over confident. They thought Lebron and Wayde can do it all. They were proven wrong.

Me too, I went for Dallas because I go for the underdogs (almost always) and I felt the same way at Miami Heat as you did. That should teach them to be humble. Hehe! Sorry, Miami fans. Just my POV.

Finally they did it. Dirk and Kidd deserved the championship. I am a Miami fan but I have to admit that the better team won. Too bad though. I was really hoping that the Miami trio would win in their first season together, but the good part is that they are still under contract:D

I wanted the Heat to Win. I don't care about Lebron's controverysial move as a ethical reason. It's a dream to see good superstars and friends play together.
