I have been on a diet now for about three months and have lost a little over 20 pounds. I feel great since I am now back into my size 7 jeans. I did the normal stuff, counting calories and working out more (by taking my dog on extra walks). How many pounds have you guys lost and how did you do it?

In February 2009, I started a weight-loss program that entails both diet and exercise. I went to the gym 5 times a week alternating aerobic and weight training exercises. Then I hired a physical trainer to guide me in my workouts and a nutritionist to monitor my food intake. After 4 months, I was able to lose 30 pounds. My target weight loss was 50 pounds but I wasn't able to fulfill that since I got pregnant on the 5th month. So now, I'm back to my original weight and I have to start losing weight again. My goal is to lose 50 pounds by the end of the year. Wish me luck!

Good luck! I find that its always easier the second time around. You know that you can do it since you have done it before. About two years ago I lost thirty pounds and then slowly gained it back. When I started this diet it seemed a lot easier because I already knew what worked for my body and my head was in the right place. :)

I started Weight Watchers (following their new ProPoints plan) on the 11th January this year and yesterday at weigh in I had lost 54 pounds! I still have a way to go to see my weight loss journey look here http://oldchem.health.officelive.com/MyWeightLossJourney.aspx

I embarked on counting calories and doing some exercises. However I do not have a fixed exercise programme, maybe that is why it seems rather slow for me to lose weight. I'm trying to lose 10-12 pounds. I keep losing two pounds, then gain it back, like a yo-yo. I'm trying to get back to doing my pilates. I switched on the DVD for a simple 20-minute workout every other day. Hope this helps.

If I ever want to lose weight or slim down so I can wear a certain dress, I normally cut out a lot of the foods I eat. I stick to fruits and veggies and simple carbs. I also cut out milk. Doing this for a month can have a huge impact on your weight.

Let me let you guys in on a secret. Consistency. It really doesn't matter how you excersize or what diet you try, as long as you stick with it it will work. To make this as simple as possible: You figure a pound is basically 3,500 calories. If you ate 115 calories less a day , or walked for 10 minutes a day you would lose a pound a month. But you have to be consistent. One day of cheating could eliminate a weeks worth of work. Good luck
