They Stanley cup playoffs have a new meaning to me tonight.

A few weeks ago I found out that a team member of Vancouver had been hit in the eye with a puck. Until then, I didn't even know he played hockey. I went to school with him. Manny came back from his injury to play in the finals. I know it would mean a lot to him to bring the cup home to Canada. It doesn't look like we're going to win it tonight, maybe on Wednesday though. That would be great. It's been said that the home team always bring the cup home, so when game 7 goes in Vancouver on Wednesday, I know we'll have it wrapped up. I'm rooting for #21, God Bless you Manny, you're a good person. Bring the cup home to Canada.

Is he the one that suffered the concussion? I didn't know he got hit in the eye with a puck, just that a player suffered a concussion. I think it was his team. I really don't follow sports. Anyway, it's interesting to hear from people who "knew them when..." whether it's a sports figure, politician, or any other celebrity. Thanks for popping in and letting us know that you knew him. I wonder who the other team is. LOL That's how little I follow hockey. Who are they playing?
