I love the night sky, out in the country you can see a zillion stars, last night was the full moon and it was a real beauty. Our night skys have been cloudy for months and it was such a joy to have a clear one last night.

The fact that we aren't really able to see the stars around here because of light pollution is something that I really don't like. There are times that I am able to visit the country where some of my friends live and I love all of the stars that we are able to see there. With that said, we were down at a friend's house last year when a storm hit. Watching the lightening where there was not any noise pollution was absolutely amazing.

Well here in the city the night sky has just a few stars, at least thats all you can see. I have been in the country and the sky is beautiful out there. Well, I guess thats the price you pay for living in the concrete jungle.

I love the night sky too. I have seen some of the biggest most amazing full moons on these mountains. The moon sometimes looks so close it would touch the ground. Orange too...those are the neatest. I am going to have a couple of weeks off coming up..the night sky is on the top of my "to do" list too.

I live out in the country also and I too have the pleasure of a gazillion stars. Last night the full moon was yellow at first. Apparently there was a lunar eclipse last night. Too bad we couldnt see it here in North America.....only Africa could see it. We are the lucky ones, arent we?

I love doing that too Pat, really so many things enter my mind while stargazing , an added attraction last night was the lunar eclipse, enjoyed it cause it won't happen again after seven years, so glad that despite of the low pressure area and the threat of a typhoon the sky was clear except for a few passing couds over the face of the moon, really nice

hello savypat, night sky is the best thing about the nights and when its a full moon day, then you can't ask for anything better than that. My heart goes la la la and gaga for the night sky's beauty. The serene scenic beauty of the clear sky showing us the moon, well, you can't stop yourself thinking about the one person whom you love the most in the world and you will definitely want that person to be with you is what you will wish for. This is something that happens with anyone. This scenic beauty of the moon makes us jealous and make us wonder why every day is like this. But i must add something her, if everyday was to be like that, I am sure as humans, we would have never bothered so much about the moon and the night sky. I am also enjoying the same sight that you explained and feels really good that we could share the experience about the same sight even though we are all miles apart and not seen each other and know nothing about each other. Cheers! Have fun..

I used to sit in the balcony of my house during the night to watch the full moon and wonder why people associate full moon with insanity.

It is beautiful and truly fills a person with awe to see all those stars and galaxies. I remember seeing that sky in Phoenix for years when we lived in the country but then they began building a development nearby and when they were done, half the night sky was invisible. I woke up this morning facing my window and my first sight was a beautiful silver full moon in a blue dawn sky--what a treat!

I always enjoy looking at the stars. It's difficult sometimes here in the suburbs. There is a street light right here in my driveway so I have to go to the back yard to see better. I bought a book that has everything you'd ever want to know about the stars in it. I've tried locating the various constellations with the naked eys. Maybe someday I'll be able to afford a telescope.

Sounds really pretty. I've always loved looking up at the sky and trying to point out the constellations. I use to go to an observatory when I was younger and you could look through the really expensive telescopes. It's amazing what's up there.
