Parenting Preemies!!

My preemie - This is my daughter 2 days after she was born.

My beautiful daughter who is 1yr old was born a micro-preemie!!! She was born at 24wks gestation and had several complications!!! At 2wks born she had a PDA surgery which is a surgery to repair a valve on her heart that is normally closed after birth on full term babies. She spent 94 days in the nicu. All 94 days I felt extremely alone and was scared. Today she is a big healthy little thing. With the exception of some minor developmental delays she is ok. I would like to reach out to other parents of preemies and share stories of our trials, tribulations, milestones and miracles...Every one needs a shoulder to cry on and an ear to borrow!!

I know this is from a while back but I'm hoping your child is doing well and has grown a lot since you made this post. I'm a mom of two preemies but they are born much later then your baby they born at 34 and 36 weeks I know health risks are a lot lower then but they are still preemies. Your daughter is a fighter and very strong.
