My husband's yahoo messenger was hacked.

My husband's friends keep telling him that they are getting messages from a woman asking to see pictures or show pictures of her. We think his messenger was hacked. He ran his spyware remover and antivirus. Does he need to completely get rid of the messenger and redownload it? Any suggestions?

It will be a good idea to delete the existing messenger and download the latest from net. It is after all freely available.

Those are bots. I get them too. Just flag them and they would not bother you again. Not unless new accounts and botnet arise. It will be a never ending cycle.
