Hi. I want to ask u that when we celebrate our or our children's birthday, we celebrate as the day of rememberance of their birth. But we didn't take notice that the life span is also decreasing on the other side. I want to say that if we are celebrating 15th birthday, the 15 years are also reducing from our life span simultaneously. So had you ever noticed abut this thing. Whats your opinion on it. Cheers.

Yeah, I realize that and hence I really don't celebrate my birthday. I usually have a good drink and a lovely dinner and then doze off. I feel that it is a much quieter way of celebrating your birthday. I prefer it that way.

That's quite a pessimistic way of looking at it! It was my birthday today, so this caught my eye. But really, celebrate life as it is. Don't think about how many years you've got left! Think about tomorrow! The present. That's my opinion on it :) Sam

I have thought about that but try not too.. we don't know when our time will be up and we shouldn't dwell on it.. we should live life to its fullest and not worry about when it will end..

hello swat89 :) there is always joy in celebrating birthdays :) don't count your remaining days coz you really don't know when your life will end. it really doesn't matter how old or how young you may be. all of us will eventually die. just be thankful that you have reached that certain age and be happy for what you have become. besides, life is not measured by the number of years you have lived, but it is on how you lived your life and how you gave it meaning.
