Mylot Friends as Chatmates?

Have you ever tried asking any of your Mylot friends to be your chatmates? Has something grown deep from any of your friends you have approved in your list? One of my mylot friend is actually my cyberdad! I wish my mylot friends could ask me out at least include me in their YM or even facebook. I just dont have the courage to ask them though...
I was just thinking that, you wouldn approve someone in your Mylot Friend list if they dont happen to have replied in any of your posted discussions; for me, it woud mean that you have the same interests.
Has anyone of you tried reaching out to your Mylot friends in a real personal manner?

In my full year here I have grown very close to several myLot friends here on friendship and family levels. I have lot of email and phone contact with several. It has been quite fun and so great to see many of their personal pictures and family happenings.
I don't use my facebook too much and only have offline family and friends on there, therefore, I would not see them having anything in common so emailing and phone calls have worked out great.
I have lots of homes I can actually visit all over the world if I happen to be across the ponds and or world as they have offered and welcome any visits anytime and vice verse.

Im only new here at mylot and I hope to have friends here too aside from FB friends. Its like I'm building "another" set of friends. kind of "virtual" friends where I can share anything that I can't share personally. Hope we can be friends here. We are of the age same age. :)

Is Graceekwenx also your YM and FB name? You got my attention :-) I found some of your discussions very interesting though I never use to visit my Mylot so often. Anyways I will try to find time making some comments to your discussions. Keep it up!

Yeah actually i did this two or three times but this didnt seem to work a few replies and then the life goes on.. So iam still trying to get more friends and connect with them personally but the thing is that due to been stranger it is becoming very difficult but anyways life is always complicated and we should learn to handle things in a friendly manner.

i think you can approach them in what your plan to your friends here, because if you considered your list of friends are true friends your open to them for any things but if you have daubt no result might be with you.. Sometimes the reality here in mylot is all are busy and focus to earn something or enjoying in participating only here - so your move may be required... if you want

Normally i don't chat, i don't have any FB or any kind of account in any sush site, but i have so many friends in personal level from mylot only..

Well as someone who has been a member here for over 4 1/2 yrs. and a very active member, I have seen a lot of people come and go here. Many of them who are no longer active here did become Good friends before leaving here, and I keep in touch with via Facebook, etc. I have nothing wrong with when I feel I have become good enough friends with someone here to have them as a friend on Facebook. Eventually would Love to get some of my friends on Facebook to consider being active friends here as well if I could.

There have been people here on mylot that I have added to my facebook and we chat regularly.
A lot of people are from different countries so it is hard to become face to face friends.
There have been some of my friends that I have referred her that were active at one point but now not many people have time.

Hiya Grace,
If I could I just might chat to them but it´s a bit difficult to chat to People who you don´t really know on a personal level. Okay you can start off and try but if they don´t want to carry on chatting then that´s it.
A few times I chat with Classmates from the School I went to before and I leave them messages but then I knew them better and they were from my Home Town as well so it is easier for me to chat to them.
Most of the time I cannot be on here so I cannot commit myself to so many hours either but it would be fun to have a lot of mylot friends to chat to.xxx

You are definitely fortunate, i have many friends in mykot and other sites, whom i know personally, communicate via email, SMS , phone calls, and chat too, but better not to disclose the names here..

I haven't been on here long enough to grow to know someone on that level. However, I personally don't add people on Facebook that I haven't met in real life. I just find it silly and somewhat dangerous. I don't use Yahoo messenger, but I am a fan of Skype and on nearly all hours of the day.
