What's the best age to start having children?

I know that, if you're 25 and single right now, there's no way you're going to aim to have them when you're 26 if you haven't met anyone yet. But assuming a person has a reliable life partner, married, preferably, what ages are best to start having children?
I am kind of thinking that ten years is a good age, when I'll be 27. I've heard even that is a little young. But when I first thought of it, I thought it might even be too old, seeing as 16 girls in my high school are pregnant/already mothers.
My mom had me when she was 37, and I'm the third, last child. She's kind of an okay age to be a mother I guess, but I think a little younger than that is okay to stop having them.

i agree with you dyeni23.. and they says that if you got marriage and has child in that age you have mentioned your children will become bright..well maybe..haha ;)..take care

Honestly I am 21 and I havent even thought about kids. I know financially I am nowhere near ready. If I were I figure 21 - 25 would be ideal for a first or second child. Then 30 - 40 for 2nd - 4th child. Of course people will still be learning at those ages but thats what life is about. If you spend too much time getting ready, you'll never do something. I have been told by my parents that 25 at least and up is the ideal age. About 25 - 35 they said.

I would say between 21-26.
Why, life if so short. Its best to have them early and see them grow up.
Trust me,you would not want to be on a cane when your kid graduates from college.

In my opinion having children does not have anything to do with physical age but mental age. I'm not saying it's ok to have children at the age of 16 because obviously they are not mentally prepared to have children. Mental age would include financial capability of raising a child as well as emotional maturity. I have told myself that if I'm not a good mother, i would never have another child again. If I cannot give my son the proper love and care, education as well as discipline then I am not allowing another child into this world.
So whether you're 27 or 30 as long as you can give a child all the rights he deserve in this world, then go ahead and be a mother.

I think a best age to have children to men is in between 21 to 25 and for women it should be in between 20 to 24.
Well, a normal person gets well settled in his life at age of about 22 to 25 (in case of education, personality, experience, and to be able to teach children). To have a children you must have sense of judging what is right and wrong, you must have enough experience of this world to teach your children what the life is all about.
It is not appropriate to have children at age of 27-35, because when your children becomes settle in their lives you started leaning towards ripe old age, so you can't enjoy life with your grandson.

hi lilbabycatapillar i think my ideal age is when i am 25 to 30 i like to have my kids or for me this is the best age for me by having a baby because i have a year to earn some money with my future husband for our future in making a family , i choose this age because this age is i am comfortable and i know that i can manage it.

I am already 258 years old. however, I am not yet married. i enjoy being single but I know I'll get married soon. For me the right time to have a baby, I think, if you are financially stable. So that you can give your children's needs. So when is that right time, I think around 25 is the starting age. This is ideal, you are not too young and not too old to get married. I think, you have already enjoyed your free time and being single. I do believe that you have already built your foundation as an adult. I do firmly believe that you have already set your goals.
