Clout 8 Now, Long Way to Go

I have not written too many articles for Yahoo! Contributor Network (Associated Content) for quite some time. I did just re-publish a few articles I previously published at Factoidz, but I think I want to make a new goal for Y!CN/AC. I am currently at clout level 8 with quite a long way to go until I get to the next clout level.
My goal is that I would like to reach level 9 within 2 months, and I think I can do it. I will need to focus and write more, that's for sure. I definitely think this goal is doable. Please wish me luck and any ideas as to interesting articles or those that might help me get more views is definitely appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am also at clout level 8 and working my way to 9. I don't know how to tell how close I am to reaching the next level now that the pages have changed. I wish you the best of luck in reaching your next goal.
I would think that it would be best to write about current events in the world to get more page views.

Update: it's been three months now and I am still at clout 8, but I am very close to 9, so hopefully within the next few weeks I will finally reach my goal. I had hoped to reach it sooner than this, but I have not been writing there as much as my full time job has been requiring more hours lately. It's tough to reach clout 9!

Thanks for the suggestions. I do research occasionally before I write, however I am not really primarily interested in writing about news items or religious articles... Thanks for responding with your suggestion, though! : )
