i think it would be very easy to spot a liar especially if the person is not ver used to lying. another thing you will be able to spot a liar is when you asked the same question and somehow you got a similar "base" story and you heard something different to it.. changing stories, no consistency. it may also be similar to people who actually would be on the defensive side... as if trying to convince even himself that he is telling the truth. and of course, the best of all is that the person may not be speaking very fast, and he has trouble speaking in natural tone, etc because he is still thinking of what to say.. plus the fact that he could not be looking directly at the person he is talking to.. sort of like thinking and has his or her eyes on other things.

Sadly the way a person responds usually is my way of seeing how they are not being truthful. Usually it has to do with how they give off facial gestures and or use their body. Nervousness usually is the first clue, especially if the person has no reason to be nervous to begin with.

My best advice would be to ALWAYS follow your gut instinct. ALWAYS follow your gut (instinct) rather than your head (logic). Liars also generally scratch their nose or cover their mouth when telling a lie, avoid making prolonged eye contact (or avoid breaking it and therefore holding it too long). They may also cover their mouth or put an arm out in front of them as though they are defending their self. There are also clues in their words, if they go back to explain minor details this is an indication that they are telling the truth. If they can't provide minor details then they are lying.

Hi anishkolwalker! Do you suspect that someone is lying to you? Or you are just being to suspicious? hahaha. Being too suspicious is not good. You know there is a saying that goes like this; "Better to be occasionally cheated than being perpetually suspicious".

Hi there anish, Welcome to MyLot! :-) Often times, you can tell if one is lying by the expressions on their face, the pitch of their voice, body movements, etc... Things like sweating, stuttering, unable to sit still, repeated details, etc.. are some of the indications that someone is lying.
