Do you appreciate specially Winter flowers?

My plant with her yellow flowers. - They might be cousins of the chrysanthemum, I think.

I do. I don´t think I like them more, it´s just that it seems they make me happier because I don´t expect them. In Spring, every single plant and herb /even the weeds I don´t particulary like) make a show of their best dresses. There are few plants that save their beauty for Winter. I have such a plant in my garden. I don´t know the name in English and would be happy if someone would tell me how it´s called. I took a couple of pictures of it while I told the plant how beautiful she was. Plants are feminine in Spanish, my native tongue. I´ll post a picture of my flowers to share them with you. I hope you like them.

I am a nature lover...it means flower make the nature looks more beautiful. I can't imagine a world without flower. When I climb in the mountain we also see different varieties of flowers. I remember when we climb one of the mountain in one province of the Philippines and we found a very big flower that local tourism promote it, they said "that flowers is the biggest among all". Although the smell is not good. My mother and my wife love flowers that is why our surrounding is full of flowers. Several kinds, some with be nice to view during summer and winter.

Chrysanthemum - White flowering Chrysanthemum
Wow they are so beautiful. I like that they are flowering so nicely. They would look lovely on my kitchen counter top. I truly love Perennial flowers that they bloom so nicely and I remember having lots of them in my old house. I loved going out into the yard and pinching them daily to assure that they bloomed nicely. I also liked to have fresh ones in my kitchen especially during the weekends when I was able to spend more time at home. I believe they are Chrysanthemum, and here is a picture of some white ones. But I love them in yellow.

I have those white ones, but they are not in bloom now. But I think they are close cousins. I also have smaller, beautiful, mauve ones. I´ll check tomorrow if there´s a flower in them. I usually prune the plants in Autumn but did not have the heart to do so with this one while it was showing off like a diva.

I had a friend who lived in the north of the US and for him, irises were one of the most beautiful flowers. Of course he didn´t have them in Winter but was very happy when they came out.

The flowers are very nice! I'm not sure what they are, but like someone else mentioned, they do look like daisies. I'm not that familiar with different kinds of flowers so don't take my word for it. Have a great week!!!

Winter fuchsias - Another one of nature´s beauty found in my garden.
I have tried to have a good day in spite of the hospital not having my exams yet. I feel every second counts, but as I cannot make it count medicinewise, I decided to do what I could for myself. I got me some pills for anxiety (small quantity) and went to the garden to talk with my plants when the rain stopped. Besides the yellow flowers, I found a beautiful fuchsia and also took a picture of it. Take care!

You are so blessed to have flowers that bloom in the winter! Here, the earliest flower will bloom very late winter/early spring. throughout the winter, from the time the frost hits in the fall, until late February or early March, there are no flowers. I have been on the watch for flowers that bloom in the winter, but they will not do that here because of the cold. If I am lucky, the indoor flowers I buy do not die and I may have a flower to enjoy in winter, but that is rare. It looks like a daisy type flower. I do not know what kind of flower it is, but it is very nice to bloom for you in the winter.

Lovely to recieve flower at winter but nobody gives me one. I am in Australia now and it is winter here and also it is first time to exeperience winter. Back in my country I only have sun and rain.Wish some gives me flower, but I think it customary for me to give flowers to women, am I right in thinking this way?
