I just had this cool idea while at the grocery store the other day. I was in the aisle where the produce section was and saw these rainbow peppers. Well, actually they're 4 in a bag, and there's 2 red peppers, a yellow pepper, and an orange pepper, all taste similar, and so I decided to pick up a bag. I chopped it all up really fine (see picture below) and mixed up the colours and it looks so nice! :-D Now, I always keep a few bags of chopped green peppers in the freezer for pasta dishes and pizza. Now, I'll have this bag of mixed coloured peppers to add to the pizza to make it nice and colourful :-D Whuddya think, guys? hehehe Anyway, this will be a bag that's specifically set aside as a pizza topping, along with a handful of green peppers as well. BTW I know a lot of us aren't overly fussy on how our food looks, but I am, and I like variety. When I serve up a slice of pizza I'd like to see lots of colour, texture - and of course less grease (hahaha, that's why I like to bake my own!).

Pizza!!! I like my food to look pretty, too. So, I guess that you're on the right track making your pizza (and other dishes) look pretty because of the variety in color. It also makes the food more attractive to young kids.

I agree! Unfortunately my 2 little ones are a bit too smart, they know I'm always trying to push veggies on them any way I can, so they end up picking off what they don't like hahahaa

This is a Good idea for Pizza's etc. I would have never thought of this but I am sure this would make a nice difference in flavor for your pizzas as well. I might have to consider trying this sometime with salads, etc. It would probably be a pleasant change and addition for sure.

They give a delightful flavour, actually, the differences in the taste of different colours doesn't vary too much, though. They do make a salad colourful and fun to eat, though.

Hi! Long time no chat. I have been crazy busy these days and can't seem to find time anymore for anything, however today I decided I was going to have "me" time. Anyways, I just recently started using the different colored bell peppers myself. My daughter and I love sausage, peppers and onions and one day she suggested that I try to red and yellow ones instead of the standard green ones. We tried it and the plate did indeed look so much more colorful. I have also put them in pasta dishes, however, I never even thought to put them on pizza. Thanks for the great idea!!

That sounds delicous, fried bell peppers :-) I've had stir-fry bell pepper with chicken as a chinese food dish before, perhaps I can add red peppers next time we have a stir-fry.

I love the different colours of peppers. I use them to make my lettuce salads more colorful and thy can be used in any dish that asks for peppers. I agree with you that it will look awesome in a pizza. Yummy!!!

Ya, I think I'll also add purple and ivory peppers as well as the red, orange, and yellow peppers to any lettuce salads I make, I'll post a picture next time we make a pizza :-) I'm curious myself on how it'll look as well :-D

Wow those peppers look very tasty. Yes we do the same here at home too. We like to add a great deal of color to almost anything we make. For instance we like to see several colors in pasta and salads too. It makes them look that much more fun to eat as well as very tasty and enticing.

Actually I think they'd go very well in salads, all kinds of coloured peppers, including purple peppers and ivory peppers. I don't they they'd look good on pizza, but definitely so in salads. I should look up different pasta recipes, as I do love pasta a lot.

That is a great idea, I am going to chop up all my peppers and freeze them too, next time I find a good price on them I will buy a bunch! I love peppers like that and they are great on pizza, pasta and I love them pan fried with sausages too. I don't know why I never think to freeze them but I will have to try this, I was mad last night I didn't have any fresh peppers to put in the chili we were making!

Ya, they're good in sauces and as pizza toppings, and I find when you do cut them up and you just take out a handful at a time, you're using less peppers, which will go further than say if you're working with fresh peppers (as you tend to use the whole pepper.)
