What is the best way, according to you, to earn refferals for your sites? It doesn't really have to be about myLot, could be any refferal site you use. Probably the best way would be to talk about it to people you know, however, it's not possible to get lots of refferals this way for the obvious reasons. I tried traffic exchange but it doesn't work that great, especially when the link you share is an old site.

I don't rely on referrals, i find it hard. I get all my earnings online with my own effort through blogging :)

I don't rely on them either. I don't like having to ask people to sign up under me. I think it can be kind of tacky.. like you are spamming. I won't do it.

I really don't know... I don't go around asking or begging people to sign up under me. I sign up under some folks when they ask me to, but I feel funny about asking anyone to sign up under me. It just doesn't seem right to me to ask people to do that. I guess if someone asked to be my referral, then I would be totally fine with giving my link. I don't want to spam anyone because I don't like to be spammed, so I am cautious there.

I know what you are saying. I mostly get this feeling when I ask people that are my friends in real life, to join as my refferals in a site. I don't want them to feel like I am trying to use them or trick them into something that I will be the only one who will earn something out of. Hoever, if I really thought that things were gonna be like that, ?I would have never talk to them about it, because I care about them, and I think they can understand me and trust me about everything I tell them. If they decide they don't want to join anyway, then it's a different matter, but at least they don't think any less of me and that's what matters.

I think that the best way to get refferals to your sites is to start your own blog. Then you can add banners to your site that have your refferal link embedded in them. There are several free sites that you can use to start your own blog if you dont have one already. I started my blog on blogger.com but it was recently deleted. I now have a blog through wordpress and would recommend starting with them. Good luck with getting refferals!

By making friends with some other folks that you know that are into earning money online, but the sites that you are using must be legit and pay on time. Otherwise any referrals you do get won't be active very long. For instance I have another site that I post up posts about various sites that I'm into and I ask those that may be interested to comment on my post or to send me a private message, since that is allowed on that site, just can't post up links. I have become good friends with a few of the folks that I have met on that site as well as other sites, posting sites. Once you have built a solid foundation of friends, that can trust you and that you can trust. The referral exchanges will come naturally. Time is of the essence. Before you recommend a site, it would be prudent for you to make sure that you have gotten paid from the site. Or at least someone you know and trust has gotten paid from a particular site. I'm earning from referrals several times over, and I continue to do it, not because I'm some "EXPERT" referral marketer, but simply because I tell the good, the bad, the sometimes ugly about a site that I'm earning on, and I allow others to make a decision of quality to join or not join, be active or not active. I have referrals that are very active and others that aren't. What I find is that some people are merely curious, while others may or may not be serious enough to continue doing the work required to get the payment, that they seek! That's just my two cents about the matter. Happy Mylotting! One thing for sure is you'll learn alot about some great sites here on mylot. Just stay tuned!

Nicely said there! I agree with you that the site you are promoting must certainly deserve it. It's difficult to earn refferals, but it's easy for them to give up and leave if they feel they're losing their time. I also agree that one must always explain both the good and the bad things about the site they are trying to get refferals for. You shouldn't try to promote something by lying about it and making it look super cool, when it really is not. Then, once again you'll be unhappy to witness your refferals vanish.

If i may suggest you can also give away free stuff related to the products that you are promoting. Set up an autoresponder so if anyone sign up you will be able to send them emails on autopilot. It's not a guarantee but there's a big possibility that you can convince them to be your referral.

You are right on this. I feel it is difficult as well and that's why I started this discussion, which I have to say turned out really helpful! Make sure to read what the other myLot users suggested and you might find an answer that helps you out! I hate the multi-level-marketing systems that you have to buy things to get started.. some of them are good though, I just think it's not for me. I have a friend that makes about 7k euros per month, together with his dad, from a mlm business.

OK I will read it. MLM concept is not bad but it require enough time and investment. One should also aware with the technique of online marketing.
