During those years when I had plenty of time, I used to read a lot, mostly those classical novels. One of my favorites was "Ana Karinina" by Leo Tolstoy. I have read the book two times, and have also seen the movie. A really beautiful story, and the actings were marvellous too.

It's funny, because I'm not really an avid reader. I don't usually like to read, and when I do, I get sleepy really easily! It really makes it hard to finish one chapter. But I'd have to say that my favorite one is 'Catcher in the Rye'. If you haven't heard of it, it's the tale of this cynical boy who wanders through New York and has an unforgettable night. It really is an interesting tale, and it's more compelling to read all of the things he goes through. The thing about this novel is that throughout your reading of the book, you find that you're unconsciously analyzing him throughout the book. You know that the author, J.D. Salinger, created this character for a reason with ideas in mind, and you just want to know all the emotions and feelings and meanings of different things to him. You also find yourself trying to identify the significance of different objects in the book, as well as deciphering certain symbols that you just know mean something! Throughout the whole book, Holden is probably seen as just a cynical, mean, peeved boy, but it really is up to your own interpretation. Some may say that he's just a pretentious snob who needs to get over this whole thing. That's the beauty of the book. It's up to your interpretation, and that's why I love it. And the book is sort of based on the writer, J.D. Salinger. J.D. Salinger is a reclusive man who lives in isolation. This kind of relates to the main character, Holden. They are somewhat similar once you read who J.D. Salinger is and who Holden is. And you kind of get a taste of two people. It's great read, and you should definitely try it out! I must warn you, though, the book isn't for everyone. You'll either love it or you'll hate it!

I can't pick for the life of me. I'm an avid reader... I typically finish 2-3 books a week. But I rarely re-read books, not that I've never read a book that I thought I could read over and over again, just there are so many new books I want to read. The few books that I loved and have read more than once are "The Last Unicorn" by Peter S. Beagle, "Ella Enchanted" by Gail Carson Levine, and "This Present Darkness" by Frank Peretti.
