Okay so just recently when I was on my laptop it froZe and started to make funny noises. The noise sounds like metal clinging in a loading sequence. What the heck could this be?

It could be the harddisk drive or the internal fan. If this problem still occurs, it's best to send it to a technician for a check-up. I suggest you do this before it will be too late and cost you more.

Laptops make this noise when you add or remove a plug and play hardware, like a USB drive (pen drive) or a external DVD player or an external hard drive. If it made the noise without your doing any of these things, some internal port is probably re-setting. Just shut down and restart. If, on the other hand, it made the noises when you did one of the above things, that is normal, nothing to worry about.

It will not fully load and still makes the noise when I turned it back on. I did not do anything or put anything into it. All I did was turn it on and I was on mylot when it started screaming at me.

That's the first I heard a lap top do, I mean mine tends to freeze on occassions, but I have never heard of that sound. Personally I am not to tech savvy so I wouldn't know how to respond, but I hope you get it fixed or it stops occuring. We would miss you if you didn't have your laptop.

Is your computer working properly? Its just that something clinging noise? If your answer is YES. I guess an object is trapped inside.
