life with an open mike

He opened his big mouth with his mike still open, for all the world to hear. There is one pilot who will never forget to check his mike, if he is ever allowed back in the pilot's seat again. He's going to sensitivity training. How that will help him I don't know, maybe it's just something to tell the public. No matter how they train him it's not going to change his mind, shouldn't they just teach him to keep his attention on the plane and not leave his mike open?

I heard that. Poor guy didnt have a night life when he was off flying. They say he's in training but how can they expect to change his mind. Now they have you therapy for just about anything people can come up with. If you cheat on your wife, well lets get him in therapy, if you say the wrong thing, hey....therapy again. Why not just fire him. But then again, what about freedom of speech? Im not saying I agree with what he said, not at all but shouldnt we be allowed to express ourselves?

There is freedom of speech, but not in the work place, when you are there your speech belong to your employeer. That's the way business that deals with the public work.

Unprofessional, he should be barred from flying until he keep his conduct in order.

This is the first that I've heard of this story, so I really don't know anything about the situation. What I can say, however, is that people always have to watch what they are saying no matter what the situation is because you never know when there is someone that is listening that will not at all like what you have to say. There have been many times in my life that I've had my own words turned around on me.
