Last week's flier for one of our local stores stated that they had a sunshade on sale for $30. I went to the store yesterday to try to find it, but they didn't have it in stock. So I asked someone about it, and was told that they never received a shipment at all for it, and only a few stores had stocked it, way up north. Of course I'm angry about this, I really wanted to replace our broken one, but have never been able to find one so cheap anywhere. So now I'm contemplating contacting them regarding this situation, maybe I can actually get one shipped down for the same price. Is it worth it to try though?

Hi kris, Well if you still really want it, and that's a good price for you... I see no reason not to at least try and contact them about the issue. It's worth a try. :-)

I got a response today. Not quite what I was looking for, but I get a $30 gift card from them the next time I go in.

I would say it is worth getting hold of them as perhaps the request might get you one. It certainly would not hurt and maybe they can give you some sort of rain check so that when they do get it, that you still get it at the sale price. Good luck with this and yes I would give it a try, nothing to loose.

stores lie about such things so much that i think your anger is going to do nothing to change anything. still, yeah its worth trying to get one shipped from up north.

It is not worth straining oneself. We cannot reform all the people or all the people cannot act according to our needs. Try to locate another seller possibly at a slightly higher price and purchase. Let us give benefit of doubt in favor of the seller. May be the consignment expected has not reached him due to delay.
