Where to hide emergency money?

Do you have emergency money tucked away? I do and I'm running out of places to hide it. Someone is always about here and there and my hiding places are found. I just like a little money put back "just n case", I mean you never know. My best place is my bookshelves inside one of my books, preferable my christian book or even a bible. In the past I have used the pocket of a jacked I don't wear much and inside the insurance folder of my file cabinet. Anyone else have a stash? Or an idea for a good hiding place?

Hehehe you are a sneaky one!!! I had an emergency stash of money hidden in the most obvious place - my sock drawer! But I spent it all and it's time to rebuild. :( Seems silly to stash money around the house but you never know when you might need it... I've heard of hiding stuff in cereal boxes, out of season clothes, pillowcases, behind picture frames, and my favorite - a box of junk or old papers no one would WANT to look through! LOL

When and if I do have money I can stash away for emergencies I do so in pockets as you. Generally I don't have any around as I prefer in a bank as this way it is so to speak safer. With ATM cards now a days I can have instant access to it. I have heard people putting them in their freezers but also have heard how robbers are savvy enough to check there too. lol

Well I live alone, so it really does not matter if I hide my money, but I still do because if someone broke in and found my money... Anyway I hide mine under all the blankets in my armour or under my dresser.

I have a little locked box inside of a box stored in my closet where I hide money. nobody thinks to look there because they think it's just a box of odds and ends.

Hi,It's a hard question. You can hide them everywhere just remember the place where you hide them. But as I look at your photo you're yound and beautiful woman and these cases are exception. In my life i do not have money to hide them for any case but you can make yourself special account in bank office where to save some of your earnings in that way you'll have possibilities to take advantage of them each time when you need.

I hid money and travelers checks inside a tampon box when I was driving with another girl across country. It is not a real obvious place. Do not put it in your lingerie drawer or the freezer, that is one of the first places thieves look. I throw change in a decoratively painted gourd. We have a cash box for bills.

I think it is a great idea to have a little money stashed everywhere, I do the same thing. I have a little money stashed in my car, if I ever leave the house without my wallet by accident. I also hide soms money in the pocket of my jeans in my cupboard. I have a box of sweets which is empty and keep it next to my computer with some money in. Indeed the picture frame is another place. And I also hide some money in a small giftbox which someone gave me.

I hide mine in my personal drawer. I don't have anyone snooping around them so I'm all good, for now that is. My mom can be a prospect but the farthest she had gone is tinker with my wallet.

No, I don't do that, but when I am out of the house and I need to leave my wallet or money, I try to put it in a place where people in the house won't easily locate it.

I hide most of my money in my old jeans. Lol. But it's so damn true. I had tried to kept in books before but my when my younger brother went into my room he was able to find it out. So, I've tried keeping it in my jeans.

I have a lock box that I have my money in. Too bad my husband is a spender and saw me while I was in the middle of counting it (he got home from work early). He was sooo mad and so was I because now he knows about it!! Ugh! I put the box in my son's closet because he wouldn't think I would put it in the kids rooms. =)

How about a box of scarves? Stash some in between scarves and tell yourself that is only for this purpose. Also if you have to take it from there, replenish it as soon as possible.

I think that you should keep it in more than one place just incase anything happens in the room that it is in, for example a fire or a burglary. I keep mine in three different rooms and in about ten different places within those rooms. It is much safer because it's unlikely that anybody would ever be able to find all of those places, as most people just keep it in one place and if somebody was looking for your money they would assume that they had found it all if they'd just found one of the places that you'd hidden it.
