Absolutely not. I do have a cell phone for emergencies and work stuff but I dislike them (phones, that it). I've always been of the opinion that if I'm out, I'm out. Call back later. This probably stems from a previous job where I was on call 24 hours a day, every day of the year, for over seven years. When you've been woken up at 3 a.m. by someone on the other side of the world with a problem to fix or had your phone ring at 00:01 on the 1st January to report a potential issue (that was the Y2K thing), you have a different view of mobile phones. I prefer email.

Nope! I think I can live without a cellphone. In my work, cellphones are prohibited so my phone spends most of its days on the storage cabinet. Due to this, I lose interest in checking my phone and even using it. Before I had my work and during my high school and early college days I am addicted to it much like you. But now, a big NO, NO. I just use my cellphone as my alarm clock.

Hi,i think it is a little hard to live without cell phone in this modern world. But it is not completely impossible. Anyway, many years before, when the cell phones were not so popular, we can still live a life, right? Therefore, that is just a custom or habit, maybe live without cell phone is a better life style.

I actually can live without a cell phone. I haven't really used a cell phone in such a long time. I can understand that cell phones are useful and such. However, I've kind of lost the need for one.

Before I got my new cell phone, I could say I could live without it. Now, on the other hand I wouldn't give it up for anything in the world. I love that I can read books on it, go onto the internet, and etc. It came in really handy today, because before I had it. I would had to go home and realize what happened, it would have been to late. Another thing I love about it, I can have any ring tone I want and wall paper. I'm still getting the hang of texting, but luckily it has a speaker, so all I have to do is say something and it will write it out for me.

I have a great cable plan. I have a land line type phone. I did have a cell phone for about a month and didn't care for it at all. I think that if I had found a decent plan I might still be with one. But I am happy with the land line. The reception is much better than on a cell phone. I can see where you can become addicted.

No, I am not one of those people that is addicted to their cell phones. But I do know some people that like to have their cell phones on their person at all times. I just think they are more comfortable with it. I think I can live without my cell phone. As long as there is a pay phone around in the outside world so that I can make a call on it then I am okay with it.

No, I can't because it is our way of communication. I usually put this beside so I can read any messages immediately. Cellphones are also my reminder if I have something to do very important. This is also my alarm clock every morning because I have to prepare my daughter's breakfast before she goes to school.

O yes i can live without my cellphone. Every weekend i don't use or bring my cellphone wherever I go. Except if there is some company activity. Leaving my cell at home would sometimes save money for the load hehehehe...

Cell phone when it's already become one of the important requirement for various pupose. But, of course we can still live without a cell phone. But it certainly would be easier if we had a cell phone. Especially for those of you who work in business

I am also a little addicted like you!! Tend to keep checking my phone the whole time to see if I have any texts! Its the worst when you're busy trying to work and then you get distracted by checking your phone the whole time - especially if you don't actually get any messages at all!! I think a good thing to do is to try and switch off your phone or at least put it completely out of reach when you are trying to do something constructive!!

I have been living without a cell phone for a few years now. At first it was very hard and I felt as if my life line had been cut but I am accustomed to it now. They are very convenient to have in case of an emergency or an accident but they are fairly addictive and I see so many people playing on them these days. My sisters cannot put theirs down for one second. If they are not sending or responding to a text they are looking to see if they have gotten a response yet.

Hi there Sadafsakhawat, Regarding your main topic discussion, I can truly say that cellphone is kind a necessity for me. I used my cellphone in too many different ways - I used it as my way to earn a small amount doing the autoload and pasaload to customers, I used it as a way of communication to some customers who wants to order my cold cuts products, and I also used that tool in communicating with my loved ones. Maybe before cellphone is not that necessary but now, as the new age develops, cellphone now a days is a part of everybody's necessity. As I can see, almost all people of different ages has its own cellphone.

I think I can since I do use my cellphone once in a while. There are times that I even forgot to reply on some important matters.hehe. Maybe being lazy using the cellphone is also a factor for me. I rather use computer all day than living with cellphone all day. Keyboard is more convenient to use..take care!

My cellphone is more than just a phone nowadays. It wakes me up at 6am everyday as my class starts at 7! It has push mail so whenever my students send their homework i can check it right away and immediately edit it right there and then on my phone since it has microsoft word application in it. If one of my students is having an emergency and couldn't make it to class, they send me a ping, an application similar to sms but it's free as long as you have a data plan or wifi. My cellphone also serves as my camera, i don't have a need for a digicam anymore and i can also edit it right there and there and make it look like it was taken by a professional photographer. And there so many more that i can do with my cellphone. Now can i live without it nowadays? The answer is definitely a NO!

I am not addicted to the mobile phone, although I keep it with me almost all the times, but there are moments when I really don't want to be bothered and I close it.It is of course important for me to communicate and I need it like everybody else, but sometimes it becomes annoying if people call me all day long,so it's nice to take a break from it from time to time.

If I would not have to commute to and from work for quite a long time and my husband wouldnt pick me up at the station when I get home I would sure not have a cell phone. Its a necessary pest but nothing more. When I am at home cause I have time off work or I am sick I wont use the cell phone at all.
