No long weekend for me, working on a holiday.

I get one day off this weekend, even though it's a holiday weekend for us. I have to work tomorrow despite many people being off for the day.
Might be a quiet day on the roads which would be nice, the traffic was nasty today.
Saturday night we'll be camping out in the backyard, the closest we'll get to camping this summer.
I have to work on Saturday then do a delivery on the way home. Then I'm off until Monday.
I don't like the fact that I don't get much time off, but we're so busy with work, I just can't take any time off.
I'm so tired of these early morning starts and getting home late, but there's nothing I can do.
And it's extremely hot now, working out in the sun doesn't help. But I've got my sunscreen so that does help.
I have to make sure I have enough water with me tomorrow as it's going to be a lot hotter.

Oh, you are a very hard-working person. Yes, I am sure you will be well-rewarded for your work and contributions. Yup, take a long a couple of bottles of water. The weather is getting hotter the last few days, after a long rainy and windy week all along !

Hated getting rained out every time I went out to work last week, but this week has been brutal.
If the weather would cooperate, then I'd actually have weekends off.

hi,
actually its so nice to work on holidays because automatically its double pay,the sad of that is i would not be with my family that time,but its ok because i will spend my time to them when my rest day comes up,and aside from that there is no many paper works during holidays.

I hope you are getting paid extra for working on a holiday! Use your day off to stay off that foot and see if you can get it a little better! Definitely bring lots of water because I don't want the next notice from you saying you are in the hospital because of heat stroke or something. Take care of yourself and don't work too hard!!!

Because I work online from home, I tend to do at least a little bit of work every day no matter whether it's a holiday or not. I'm all too aware that the websites on which I do my work might not exist forever, so I need to make the most of them while I can. I am saving up for a house at the moment, and as soon as I have managed to buy that I will be able to relax as all that I will be needing to cover each month is the bills, which are only ~$200 per month each for my partner and I. Working hard is fun for me, anyway, because I love my job.

Sorry to hear that you won't be having a long weekend now. When I was working in an office, I always go to office even on holidays just to have additional pay being a holiday. You see, when you have responsibilities to your family, you always set aside your luxury of resting.

I am going to be pretty busy the rest of the week. Son's girlfriend wants to have a barbecue on the fourth, which is Monday. Independence Day. I really need to be cleaning and organizing every spare moment. I have company coming on the seventh. It is too bad that you cannot save just a little of the summer money for the winter and enjoy taking it easy.

Sorry to hear you will not have a long weekend. Yes I hear that tomorrow, Friday is suppose to be very hot and humid here also. I hope you foot is feeling better as with so much work and hot temperatures, I am sure it is also adding to the mix.
I do hope you can manage a little time off just for you soon.

My husband has to work this weekend also. I wish he could have been off this weekend and spend some quality time with his family. But someon has to make that money. Plus he gets paid over time so that is plus for him working this weekend. I'm sorry that you will have to be workig outdoors thats just makes it worse.

That is quite exhausting part of your job. Well I guess we have to keep with our schedules most of the times. But just think that it will be all worth the hard work. After you have worked hard there's always a plenty of room for a long vacation, hopefully. Good luck with that and do not stress yourself too much. God bless!
