Why did Jonathan Rhys Meyers committe suicide?

hi youless, he is a handsome young actor and people said that he is a very nice person. i guess, like any other human being in this planet, we all have troubles and sadness in our hearts..it is up to us on how we will deal with them. maybe, it was a moment of weakness and it got the best of him...hopefully, he would realize that there are a lot of people who loves and cares for him and eventually he could find strength in himself and in those people who cares for him. i hope and pray that he would realize how much he is blessed and be given the grace and strength to stop his drinking. take care youless and have a lovely day! lovemuch, faith210

Even though he is beautiful on the outside , he has demons. I read he has been depressed. It just goes to show you can never tell what is going on with a person.

That is sad We do not know what goes on behind the camera. If he was desperate enough to try killing himself, then he must be really really sad or in big trouble. He must be a good actor if this came as surprise for us. If it is true that he survived, then let us hope that he recovers. Let us hope that he has people who love and support him so that he would see more reasons to stay alive.

Fame and fortune can't make you happy. Only happiness can come from within. He has a huge drinking problem. He probably drinks because he's depressed. About what? I can't say. Isn't he Irish, too?
