Can you live without INTERNET?

I'm really surprised to see lots of comments on my previous post about FACEBOOK. So here's another potential LONGER thread for all you smart lotters!
You said, you CAN live without Facebook, so how about INTERNET? Can you live without INTERNET? Okay 1 day or a few can be easy. But how about more than a week?
Can you live without Internet for a week or more?
My answer is YES. I can live. It's not my food, air or water. But life won't be the same as before. My life will be harder like before. The fact that I am a home based online teacher, I depend on my internet. This is the first bill that I pay every month. This is my bread and butter.
Without internet, I will be jobless. I'll be broke. I'll be bored. I'll miss my students. I'll lose contact with all my long distant friends and cyber pals.
I can live, yes. But it will be hard. I can't imagine myself living a day without it. Not because I am addicted to it, but because I need it.
But it's possible that one day we might lose connection but as long as we have it, let's enjoy and make something useful out of it. That's why we're here, anyway. ^_^
Enjoy the internet but be responsible. Make sure you're spending more of your time in the REAL WORLD..with the REAL PEOPLE and REAL FRIENDS. GOD Bless us...

hi rhamcapapas honestly i do not leave without internet for like a year or a month...
because internet is a part of my activity of daily living in my life... i love to surf the internet, having chat and other social networks.

Yeah everybody can live without internet, like past years,, internet or tv or mobile phone doesn't look like food or water or fresh air,, but if you don't keep pace with to modern life you drop behind..))
i can see technology is very interesting , technology addicted to people and than people dont think thet how live without these things before :)

It is difficult without the internet. Picture in my mind at this time if the internet did not exist. What can I do if inside the home without the internet!. I would feel lonely and I will not able to live in the real world. Of course any information will be missed.

I could NEVERR live without internet for more then a few days...lolmaybe a day or to but no longer then that...

Yes i can live without internet, for a week are months.I remember when my husband and i were working and we could not pay the bill, we were with out internet for months.So yes i can live without internet,the internet just keep me occupied when am home alone.
Reason why i love the internet is because i use as a form of communication for my family and friends,and to earn a few cents too.The internet is entrainment for many and a job for a lot of people.
I just have to spend times in the virtual world ,but the real world is the best place to spend more time.

Yeah I can live without computers but I rather not computers make life so much easier and more fun, I've gotten so use to the conveniences of having a computer that I'd actually be upset if I didn't lolI know that sounds messed up, but omg life not be as fun without one parish the thought.

Internet has become a part and parcel of One's life and it's quite difficult nowadays to imagine life without internet. I depend on internet for many things and I feel void without internet. Not sure how others would feel about it. I am not addicted to internet but still it has become one of the regular routines for me to stay online and I am enjoying it a lot.

Well, i can live without internet but not for long. However, maybe when the time comes for me to retire, i will be dependent on it. I plan to tutor via online, in my retirement days. At least i have something that can still practice my mind when that time comes.
But on second thought, i guess i can't live without Internet, because i cannot go on for more than 1 day without Mylotting.

actually last time i tried not to open my laptop and make me feel like something is missing, however i tried not to be online for a while and went on watching movie. Then i forgot to be online anymore.
Since i also work online i need to be online for my job. so i think i can't get away without my laptop.
I also go out to meet my real world, well i need to because my boyfriend is sometimes jealous if i don't have time for him

I think you said it all. I may live without Internet but life will never be the same. It's like having a mobile phone that you feel uneasy if you leave home without. Life continues even without cyberspace but it will be so hard to keep up with things. Like me, i live alone and rent a small place (i really meant a single bed) so i can't buy appliances as much as i would like to. No tv. but laptop, yes. So i make the most out of it. Facebook.Yahoo mail.Games.Watching movies.downloading movies.you can do a whole lot of things with Internet. It's like a vast world that you can't touch or see, only feel. So i agree i may live a few days without it, but for a month? Hell no. :D

very good to read all your points about internet and its usage.Yes it is ones reponsibility to use it in a responsible way and in good way .
Yes it would be very hard for people who depend on it for daily bread and living.As your a tutor and an online teacher it will definetly be a curse to be away from Internet.
Yes we should be with the real world also as we be in the virtual world.
Yes its not an addiciton to the cyber world however its part of our life.

No, at present it is not possible for me to live without internet because I have already developed a sort of addiction to internet. So if I am to stay away from internet for only a couple of days, it would not make any problem for me but if it is for a long period or permanently, it would not be possible for me to stay away from internet and I think it would be answer from most of the mylotters.
