Trouble with his Car again :(

hello LK, That is what I hate about cars when they started to give troubles sometimes we experience that there are one problem with our car then the mechanic will discover there are many problems brake,clutch etc. We just can't sell this car because it was a lucky charm for us Yeah it is better to have an old car at least your brother is safe happy mylotting

It means there's another reason he didn't buy new one. No problem if the unit is old as long as the parts should be maintain. I mean he should constantly check the parts. If ever he found those parts that need replacement. He should do it immediately to keep away from any indecent that supposed to be prevented if he are aware about it.

Well personally sometimes a person has to weigh out what is the cheapest way to go for them when buying a car, etc. It seems like you are able to keep up with the repairs and do them cheaper than what would warrant a New car than go for it. I have a friend I work with that just spent over $3000 to fix his van, and personally since we spend that in 6 months for Car payments, I guess to me that is a better deal. We have an extended warranty etc. with our car, and it is a 2011, so for us we will stick with Brand New every couple of yrs.

And of course that means that money would be spent for the repair. The parts you mentioned sound expensive The car we are using again needed some fixing last week. Hubby spent some big amount for maintenance again. I was thinking of getting a brand new one but it just isn't financially possible yet. Hope everything will be fixed soonest

dear LK, That's the big trouble with having a car,the maintenance is really costly. I am also thinking to buy more 4 new tires...to avoid more problem in the future. I don't want the last incident to happen...I am afraid it would happen in the middle of somewhere (ehhhh) hehehe.. have a great Sunday weekend tomorrow my dear brother

OMG, if there is one thing that pisses me off is car problems. Does your brother have a regular mechanic or one you can trust? Hope he does. That car is a little bit difficult to maintain, let me tell you a little bit of what I know about the California in our country, well we did not have brand new cars from 1982 to 1986 because all the manufactures left when everything was going bad during the Marcos era, after people power, Nissan was the first to re-introduce cars to the country and they were the California and the Sentra, California was top of the line so it was very expensive, few were sold and later discontinued. Unlike the Sentra which became quite popular and were later used as taxis so parts are more available and still popular to the present, so obviously parts would be scarce and expensive. Since we are already there friend I hope you set aside a lot of spare parts if your brother is planning to stick with that thing, and if I may suggest, you can buy a junk similar model from a junk yard (very cheap), just save it to cannibalize for parts if you plan to keep or restore that car. Another good option is to sell it and buy a cheap 90s model Toyota or Mitsubishi which have more and inexpensive parts available, good luck to you and your brother LN

Yeah car trouble is the pits. They are wonderful until they break down. Seems that once they do they continually break with other problems. I hope the expense is not a costly one for him Letran and that he can have his reliable car again.
