Lost Little Kitten

I found a little kitten in our laundry room. He was a little black kitten with blue eyes. I wanted to adopt him. I found a kitten last night in our laundry area. At first I only heard its meowing. I was sitting in the dining area trying to write something as the rain poured outside. The meowing went on and off for quite some time. I thought it was the neighbors' pet calling out to its master or mother. After an hour or so I went to investigate. I searched for it and found a small bundle of black fur with blue eyes curled up in a corner. I felt sorry for the kitten so I picked it up by the scruff of its neck and took it inside. It was shivering because of the cold air in the laundry area. Well, at least it wasn't wet from the rain. I got a box and put it inside and some warm milk. It lapped at the milk hungrily. After some close inspection I deduced that this kitten wasn't a normal alley cat and someone must be looking for it. Its fur was longer and finer than most kittens I've seen in the past and the blue eyes were stunning. So I went down to the lobby area to report that I'd found a kitten. I saw a post on the bulletin board that someone was missing a black kitten. So I went up to the apartment owner who posted it and returned the little black kitten. Sigh... I was planning on adopting him and calling him Diablo. http://www.picable.com/Nature/Cats/Diablo---The-Lost-and-Found-Kitten.2619401

At least you're doing the right thing which is important in its own right. If I lost a kitten I would want it back. Luckly you found it, took care of it and found its owner in a timely manneer. And, now some pet owner has their beloved pet back. Since you live in the same complex, maybe you can visit/watch it if your neighbor needs you too which would be nice.

yeah the owner's a nice chinese man. He offered to give Diablo to me as a reward but I declined. I don't think I'd be a good pet owner.

I bet its owners were very releived to have it back i know how worried i would be if my cat went missing and it would be even worse if it was a little kitten at least i know my cat can look after herself it would be different for a defenceless little kitten. You may not have got a pretty new cat but at least you have got the nice feeling of knowing you have done the right thing and made somebody else feel a lot better.

They are cute and sweet when they are little, but they grow up and they are a lot of responsibility. Please don't call your cat Diablo, that is the worst name you could give to a cat, it's insulting to the cat. You should name him Salem, Blacky, Noche, or names similar to his color or personality.

Salem would've been me duplicating Sabrina's cat's name. Blacky would've been too obvious. Noche would've been a bit poseur. And an insult to my Filipino roots who must've hated the spanish people in the past. Diablo sounded good because he was persistent in calling out and making a ruckus. I imagine if he grows up he'll be a lot of trouble. hehehe and that's why Diablo fits.

To me, Diablo is offensive because cats aren't like that at all, also, black cats have enough of a bad stigma as it is, you would be adding to it by giving the poor cat this kind of a name.

Preiti - She just walked in ourlife
I think I won and you lost chipesterkhan In my case it was a puppy that followed me right to my gate. My maids gave her some milk and bread and not knowing where it came from we decided to keep her. It is now almost 4 years and she has grown into a beautiful dignified pet called Preiti.

it seemed fitting at that time cause he was so loud and his black colored fur plus his eyes were blue and they seemed to hypnotize you and lastl but not least, after i fed him, he was climbing out of the box and being frisky climbing everywhere

I noticed his eyes look unusual...that color is not common to our cats. Anyway, I just adopted a kitten too. I named him Chocquick...hehehe

poor chipsterkhan little black kittens are so cute but you did do the right thing and I am sure its owners were upset missing the little fellow. maybe you can go to a shelter and find another little black kitten with blue eyes who will lose its life unless someone adopts him. good luck you are a very kind person, hugs from hatley

I checked the photo and yes,the kitten looks awesome with black fur and blue eyes in contrast. I will also adopt one if it will come my way. The owner must be very happy to see his/her kitten back, and congrats for giving it back to it's owner

You can give it to RSPC near you or give it a new home in your house. It is so fun to have kittens to look after,

Aaaww, that's so sweet. At least you did the right thing by returning it to its owner. I would do the same too. Of course if no one claims it, I would keep it to myself. I just love kittens.

What a cute story!! You did the right thing by giving him back to his owner - just think how upset the owner must have been to lose such a precious little thing :) sure you can go and visit him sometime as he grows up!

Ahhhhh! He was a cute little guy. Maybe you could ask for visiting rights since you brought him back in good shape and all. lol You did the right thing though. If you had lost him I bet you would be glad to have the person who found bring him right back. Those little guys can sure get around.

That was nice of you to return the kitten. It was a very adorable kitty, but his owner must have missed him much to hang up missing signs and by returning him you made somebody very happy.
