Have had enough mylot for the day?

Well, I was reading and discussing here in my lot for a while this day, checked my watch and have said to myself "I'm done mylotting today.", and then it hit me as funny because I never thought about it until I actually heard myself said it. 15 minutes ago, I told myself, "just another 15 minutes more in mylot and then I'll go do the stuff I need to do", and then that's it. So I finally gave a short laugh and wondered, if any other mylotters did the same. So let me ask you guys, do you actually limit yourself in mylot? I know for a fact that there are days that I just visit mylot for 5 minutes and leave, so there could actually be some who would do the same, right? How much is enough mylot for you? (LOL at this question) Happy mylotting!

In my case, I'm a newbie so I try to stay on myLot as long as I can. I just joined yesterday and I was on it the WHOLE day. I might be here the whole day today as well. Haha!

Thank you, choybel! Hope to see you around here often too! :) Oh, by the way, how do you put emoticons? (See? Total newbie. Haha!)

Haha! You remind me of myself way back. I was so excited to post emoticons, too, when I was new. I think you have to reach 300 total posts to be able to activate it. I really am not sure with the number, sorry if I'm wrong, I really forgot. There could be an article about it in FAQs section. HEHE!

I really don't hav any fixed time here in myLot. I just let my online activities flow depending on the situation. I've had some times like that too. I remembered myself saying I'm already sleepy and I will move off to my bed once I finished a certain post. It turned out I saw another interesting topic to comment on and the rest is history. Haha!

Haha! Good luck on that! Addiction is quite hard to stop. And at this very moment, I am sick and very sleepy. But still I can't even stop posting on here. What is myLot doing now to us? Tell me if you found a way to control, ok!

I do limit myself here. If I didn't, I would be here all the time. I don't stay on for long periods of time, but I am on here on and off throughout the day. It is easy to lose track of time here.

Very true. It's best to be just on and off here throughout the day.

Yes, it really is a good idea to limit how much time you spend on Mylot everyday. Because there really is other stuff and tasks that I should be doing on the day. So I just spend like a half hour to an hour on Mylot everyday posting stuff. Other times when I have lots of spare time then I would be spending more of my time on Mylot to pass the time.

Keeping it on a schedule represents good time management skills, but there are just times when one just can't get enough and lost track of time. You'll probably experience this too, soon. Hehe!

Yeah, Mylot could be addicting. Specially if you started a discussion and the responses just keeps on coming. Yay, you don't know when to stop. I would only stop when my husband arrives from work, since i arrive very much earlier than him .

LOL! Today, I would have to stop when my girlfriend arrives. I think that there's always this great and grateful feeling when you see mylotters contributing to your discussion, knowing they appreciate it somehow.

Well I'm not sure but I could do this all day I am like a robot that has been made to just post mindless comments all day on this website. Lol, no I'm joking. I would say maybe 5 or 6 hours would do my head in. To think that this site is up all day long though, I guess it's just my brain wears out and my eyes hurt because of the screen glare.

Hi choybel! When I first came to mylot about 4 years ago I couldn't tear myself away and I mean that literally. I would be hear for more than 14 hours a day, everyday! And this went on pretty much for the first full 2 /12 years. Somewhere then my friends started leaving here and going to FB or to "their other lives" and things slowed down. And this last year, I've been having "life's issues" keep me away. I try to not stay away for too long, because I have made some amazing and important friends here who I truly care about. I am never able to "stop by for 5 minutes" even when I was really ill! This place is special, at least to some of us~

Hello Opal26! My experience was actually funny because when I first came to mylot I had no real idea what mylot was all about. I just signed in and then didn't really do anything yet. It was maybe after a couple of days later that I got to read into things and then realized what mylot is about. At first, things went slow for me and then when I saw my first few days income, it sort of became a strong motivator and I started spending more time in mylot until I had to stop because of other issues I had that time. It was long before I got back and now that I am back I am once again spending a lot of time here. Anyway, it's nice to know that you have met special people here and made good friends too. I have recently made contact with a fellow mylotter who is of the same city as mine, and now we are friends. I believe mylot has become a great community for many, and it has it's benefits aside from the income. Thanks for sharing!

I see that you are probably busy with other things but your numbers are already high so you must really be into mylotting, too. I guess I'll be seeing you around often.

I also do this. I did it last night when I was tired, but I forced myself to discuss more with others. So don't laugh and wonder I think other Mylotters also do this.

It's no longer a wonder when things like that happen. I call it the mylot sickness. As I have said before, it is really contagious.

Today I've been here for quite a long time actually. Other days I just come and go off from mylot but today it's different. I'm finding it hard to leave mylot. Tomorrow I have an early day and it's almost 1am already. I still need to take a shower before I sleep. i wonder if I'll be able to make tomorrow on time

I guess we can call it the mylot sickness now. Haha! it's also contagious, seeing that many are experiencing the same symptoms. We need a mylot doctor. LOL!

NO fixed time as such but during working days I manage to spend about two hours a day and on my weekly offs when I have nothing to do may be four to five hours. The people out here are so nice and I just enjoy participating in discussions and it makes me feel nice. I also nice to read the discussions and storys of other mylooters. More so I want to get close to the payout of $10, that one things that keeps me motivated and when I come here I just enjoy myself..

I admit that reaching payout is also one of the motivating factors that keeps me for hours in mylot aside from the entertainment and knowledge I'm having here. Let's just keep it up then.

I always tell myself okay I need to get off here and do this or that. It never happens, lol. I always say okay in a few minutes I am done and then I see another discussion I really want to answer. I give up! =)

I guess many other mylotters, even me, have experienced that too. There are times when stopping is not easy.

I do always experience that, and sometimes just to control myself i am shutting down my computer...and mylot after the job was done.

HAHAHA! I, too sometimes do that. I mean, whenever I just want to instantly stop myself from mylotting after several hours of trying, I just close the browser, stand up, and leave the computer. It's easier that way. LOL!
