Ojha, I normally chose topics and participate. I am also into Insurance. I am an Insurance Adviser with L I C of India. I totally agree with you, be it an insurance product or any other product for that matter, in other words be it a concept or physical product, the customer should not be deprived of facts. If we follow this fact, and stick to it what may come, know this for sure, ONE DAY WE WILL WIN. Win the hearts of the CUSTOMERS. Once done, what ever we say the customer go for it. That time, OUR RESPONSIBILITY BECOMES INCREASED and of course we will be in a position to DEMAND FOR THE RIGHT PRODUCT from the COMPANY FOR WHOM WE WORK. Nice indeed that you have taken a decision. If possible PM me. I can give some info.

Sorry to hear about your job troubles - that sounds terrible. I agree that you should leave your job, it's not fair to be working for someone who causes you to do things that are wrong by hiding information from customers. You did the right thing! I'm not sure of any online full time jobs but sites like this or paid survey sites can offer some ways to make some extra cash!

pro__ojha I am not sure what country you are in but are not insurance professionals licensed to go out on their own and set up their ownbusiness so you could be your own boss? How about hiring out on line to give advice for a fee to people on line? I am not sure how you go about it but maybe your friends or someone on line could help you.I know there are on line tutors for various subjects but these are free, why not set up shop in your own town? on line is so iffy and there are few opportunities on line to make large amounts of money. look into starting your own insurance business for one thing.

I would spend some time online and see what the market is like in insurance. As a professional you should have some expertise in how the companies work. I am glad to hear that you refused to hide information. Also glad you want to leave there. It doesn't sound like a very ethical company.

HI celticeagle I don't think my company is wrong. I am in trouble due to my performance is not up to the mark. My Senior is forcing indirectly to do some thing wrong by giving example of other SM Who doing will. But I know the they communicate wrong information to the client. I can't do so

Well, to me, that is wrong. I wouldn't work for a company that let that go on.

I am glad to hear you maintained integrity with your job. The thing is..if he was any kind of boss...he would be leading you to better things and not asking you to do wrong. Sounds to me like you are the leader in that situation and I commend you. You have just taken the first step to being a leader. I think that with your integrity and attitude that you will be ok with where ever you go. As far as the onlin earnings..well...as far as I know there are no real money making sites that can sustain a living. There are ton of ones that pay a little...but not like you are thinking of. That is just my findings though..there might be alot out there that I am not aware of. I do well on a survey site. I am also a member of a couple of writers websites that pay but it has been forever since I have had a chance to participate in those. I can give you the links if you are interested.

U are a responsible man, i like your way of doing things. I respect u for that. U didn't let greed take over your mind, and u are sensible. That should be the right way. It's the company's loss for not cherishing u, make full use of your potential. By all means, leave the company. There's always a greener pasture ahead. U have the capabilities to do great in any jobs.

Personally that is the problem with a lot of Insurance type jobs, or even mortgage type jobs as well. They want you to lie to people to draw them in, and then when something goes astray, they act if they have never seen or done that. It is your fault, and in the end it usually ends up costing a lot more money as well. If I were in your shoes, I would be more open with everyone, and if your Boss does not like it it is time to move on. If you are a Praying person, you should Pray about it, and let God guide you to where your next job should be and leave the Bad boss and troubles behind.

hi pro_ojha, guess i have had a bad experience with insurance.. educational insurance, that is. you know trying to pay from my hard earned money so i could send my daughter to the best school and then not being able to get it in the end because they are bankrupt or have mismanaged the company.. really frustrating. they offered to pay back the premiums but huh! after 15 years of paying? no way. my complain is still there.. and its been 3 years now and i dont see the light. i would probably never believe in insurance anymore. ann

Hi tigeraunt I think you have very bad experience. I don,t know what kind of insurance product you buy. Different country has different rule for insurance. But one thing is universally true that Insurance would be by for protection not for saving.

Hi Pro. I too work for an insurance company and it would be very unfair to client if we dont practice transparency. There would be better insurance companies who would love to hire honest people. Try looking further. Good luck.

You have great self respect. And you not compromising for any thing to do wrong. It is appreciable. If you have a strong goal, then you can start your own Insurance office and do your level best and gather good customers. Money is not important, customers are important.

I think you should leave the job.Because wherever we go respect is the prime thing for us.We should be respcted by others. But in a place where we don't have any respect,we should leave that place.Though he might be our boss, though he might be giving us the salary,he should be giving us the respect what we deserve.

I think you have done a good job by not accepting the bad proposal from your boss. It is good to be honest with your job and also to your client. Don't fall for the money and stand up for the honesty and integrity, but one wise advise to you is this that don't quit the job until you find another one. If the things gets worse then leave the job and find the new one. Good luck to you.

Hello pro_ojha, I am not in to the insurance company but i know many agents who hide important informations from the customer to increase their sale in order to get more incentives and at the end customer suffers for it.But you did a nice job to stand for the truth that too against your boss. There are few people who will do that knowingly that it will cost their job. But to add in it i would suggest you not get in to online business else you search for some other offline job as in INDIA i think you will find plenty of jobs particularly in insurance company because there is lot of ins & outs in insurance company reason being the stiff targets they are given which are really tough to accomplish.Secondly you have expertise & exposure in it so it would be better for you to go ahead in this particular area and side by side you can do online stuffs also. I don't know much about insurance companies but i think if you have decided to do your own business then you should become the LIC agent first, you should try to be an agent for various companies like many MEDICLAIM policies,ICICI PRODENTIAL,many others like MAX i think they will pay purely for your work. But to start something of your own you must rethink it again & should try to get another offline job & continue it till you get succeed in your own work. I know for this you need to work hard but thats the way you can make your life better.

Why not check the net if they can offer you some online jobs at least you can you be your own boss. Sorry to hear that you have this heated argument with your boss. But you are right to argue with him if he is asking you to do things that against your will. So,this is how insurance company works huh? I know not all insurance companies were doing such things. Can you whisper to us what company it is then?

I am so sorry to hear that you had a bad day at work. Unfortunately situations like this are uncommon now a days especially with the economy the way it is, businesses are desperate to make their earnings on other people expenses and don't seem care about the consequences. I am not saying it happens often, but I have heard of stories like this in the past. I know you feel down and disappointed and are seriously thinking about losing your job, but things are tough, especially with finances and jobs are hard to come by. I would personally say, try and stick around until you find something else. Have as minimal communication with your boss so that things could kind of cool off, until you are able to tell him to stick his job where the son don't shine. But try to have some type of back-up financially for yourself.

Before you do anything drastic like giving up your work, really think it out if that is what you want. Deciding to quit BECAUSE of your misunderstanding is, for me, an act of cowardice in itself. I understand that you are having a spite with your boss..but personally for me you can't be convicted because you FAIL to conform to his wishes of "CHEATING". If however, you no longer hold any interest to your work and needed to start anew, you may do so. There is no point doing something that you're not happily and passionately doing with.

that's awful. i mean the cheating part that your boss asked you to do. my boss (team leader) is kind and she never shouts at anyone. find a leader that respects you and you will respect back. and dont say that you are not a very skilled person, do not limit yourself. by acknowledging something as incorrect and not pursuing it, you are already a winner. i mean, you were great that you denied your monster boss' request to falsify documents. you possess honesty and integrity and this makes you a great insurance agent. you can do online business, spend more time here in mylot, try other social networking sites that pay, and even surveys that pay. goodluck to you, friend

Look if you don't feel comfortable with your job then you should just quit man. I would hate to have a job that forced me to act in a way that I saw as immoral or wrong. I always stand for saying and doing what you believe in. Be yourself man and don't fall into the trap of having to suck up to your boss while you secretly hate them.
