which camera to buy???

guys,, i am planning to buy a camrera,,,i want good clarity,,,goooodlcd and battery backup,,so guys help me uot in buying a camera,,,i am confused over brand,,,since some companies give 14mpixel at the rate of 6mpixel of same companies,,,so help me in choosing best company,,,according to your experince

You should't confuse about the megapixl. Megapixel is only the size of the picture. The bigger the megapixel, the higher the megapixel it will be. Megapixel shouldn't be used as the quality measurement. Even from the same company, the 14MP can be way much cheaper than the 10MP.
You have to look at other feature as well. Try to consult the camera dealer and give it a try at the shop first before you buy it.

I read on some forums to look not only Canon and Nikon, but other brands too: as example Olympus and Pentax that are very good. They said that for equal quality these brands are cheaper. I'm planning to buy with my dad a reflex camera, and I'm looking for a suggestion. I wrote here on Mylot two days ago, but I haven't any responses yet.
If you are looking for a bridge camera you can choose a Panasonic. I have one and it goes very well, till yesterday when it falls on the ground!
